This has been a go-to app for years. I gladly paid a few bucks for the ad-free version. As of October 2025 the app is littered with ads on the UI, and video pre-roll ads that can make you miss the part of the stream you opened the app for in the first place. There’s no way to justify expensive subscriptions for an app that has barely changed in a decade and compiles streams that users are voluntarily supplying (usually for free). $10/year would be understandable. $40/year is robbery.

I got my pro back. Thank you I’m back to loving it.

Bought Pro version a while back as I detest ads. Then ads started popping up & not happy. BUT, went to App Store & followed developer’s instructions & if you do the same, ads will be gone & app will also be updated. If you downloaded this app, then you know it’s the best app out there for listening to local feeds and almost any feed from anywhere & there are many extras this app has. So I love the app.

The previous update caused constant crashing on iPhone 17 pro max but this update fixed it. Great app.

The personal help I received via emails was very much appreciated and seldom experienced in the “real world”. I was seeing ads even though I paid for the service. I was helped to fix the issue. Very responsive assistance with continuity. I’m retired law enforcement and enjoy knowing what is happening in my home town. This app fits the bill.

This app is the best for tapping into your local public records in real time. Listen to local scanner feeds from all over the US. Check out police/ems code as you listen.

Had in my other phone and purchased again for another phone. Love this app and have used for many many years.. stable app and updated to run smoothly.

I think most scanner apps are about the same. I have the Pro version of this one because I don't like the ads. I like the overall look of it and the functionality is simple, so for me, it fits what I'm looking for. One downside that I have noticed is that this app is not available on Android, which at one point in time I did have, so that was disappointing. Otherwise, I'm an Apple user primarily anyway, so it's not a big deal for me. Oh…I did have to reach out to developer support one time an

Helped me probe my case against getting shot by the police

I have had this app for years to listen to the police department I retired from. I have noticed the channels I listen to are now making wierd noises as if they are not tuned in correctly. I listen to the Mesa Police Department mostly the Red Mountain station or Central station. Lately those channels have been making some strange buzzing noises or not playing at all. Hopefully the developers can find fix. It is something I really enjoy doing in my downtime.

Have had and used this app for a long time, even have the pro version but within the last 2 weeks they have updated the app and now audio has several digital transmissions, can’t hear fire frequencies that I’ve always been able to hear and audio has several bouts of echoing. Love this app, please fix these issues!

I have used this app for many years. I have used others, but they have all gone by the wayside. This one is good.

Good application. I use it to listen to events in my small community. I have used the bulky scanners and having an app on my phone is an improvement.

I was a bit disappointed as it appeared my subscription was lost in the money wind; however I emailed the developer and he set the record straight! And I found the police channel for my country which I thought was lost as well! Thank You developers of 5-0 Pro!

Works well and has a lot of features.

A lot of static on channel that I listen to in Cumberland County New Jersey. Been using scanners for over 50 years with better results. Hope this is helpful as it seems your pick up station is located too far from the dispatcher.

Great little app. Can now hear most of the police, fire and ambulance from the counties around me.

This is the first app I ever bought, many years ago now. It’s not only interesting but useful as we live in a rural area and find out about road conditions before heading out to town. It’s a bit quirky and unstable at times but that may be due to Verizon service in our area is intolerable.

Works great for me to listen to local police dispatch in Panama City, Florida. Reminds me of a classic police scanner radio I owned in the 90s. Loved it so much I slept down the five dollars to get rid of the ads!

A Couple of years ago we had a devastating wildfire near our cabin. The area was evacuated but I had this app to keep me informed. I knew where the fire threatened, what roads were closed and were the air drops were. To this day, I’m thankful to have the peace of mind knowing our property was spared and the amazing job all of the responders did.

I actually listen to the national weather service on this app, not on the NOAA app

Love this app. Radio traffic is 30 - 60 sec delayed but great app for scanner heads. I like monitoring my FD when I’m out of town working

I love this app. The only thing I would love to see is the ability to use it with CarPlay. Other scanner apps have this feature and operate pretty much the same way.

Please add more NY state frequencies As well as ALBANY area airports and nautical Frequencies Otherwise it works pretty well

Just buy the non-ad version. Buy it once and you’re done, it’s not a monthly subscription.

This app would be so much better if the channels didn’t overlap. You’ll be listening to a call, or pursuit, or something, then the other channel will start broadcasting. Very frustrating and annoying.

I’ve had the pro version for years and now all of a sudden it’s all ads. The ads freeze everything and then my radio feeds are all choppy. Sucks!!!

I have tried several scanner apps. this one seems to work the best! But on my new iPad Pro M4 when I set the volume slider to high it won’t let me lower the slider it’s stuck in the full volume position. I have to use the volume buttons to lower it.

Audio is horrible and static. Can not hear anything been like this for over a month. Should have saved my money!! Very disappointed.
