Enjoyable on desktop, issues on mobile

I really enjoy this game on my desktop at work. It’s something I can run in the background and check on once an hour. It keeps me entertained enough that I keep going back. I figured it would be worth the $1 to kill time on my phone. The issue I am having is that when I get the notification that I don’t have enough supplies (click on hut without having the 50 wood) there’s no way to close the pop up. I have tried long pressing, double tapping, tapping all over the screen, but nothing will clos
