ABC News: Breaking News Live App Reviews

Thank you, Disney thank you ABC for standing up for the first amendment! The first thing a tyrant will do is try to stop the press and you wouldn’t accept that. That’s excellent. That’s what I expect in a news organization.

Please update seeing too many stories from October 24 and last year

I have to apologize to you for the poor review. There was another news app I use that has video. I meant to review them and accidentally slammed you instead. This is a good news app. I appreciate your quick response. Thank you for being a good news organization. Keep up the good work.

Ads that are videos start automatically playing with no control to turn them off, which is not only frustrating but a waste of bandwidth and data. Even with the Autoplay videos setting in the app disabled, it still happens.

Not at all as user friendly. Advertisements overwhelm the stories. Ugh! Ad placement confuses finding stories. SO MUCH redundancy. How many times can you give us a timeline of the ship hitting the bridge or Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis (she’s not the only one dealing with it). Surely there are many more important stories to tell.

I enjoy checking in with ABC News everyday to make sure I have the right story.

Please modify it as soon as possible

I loved the ABC app until it was made cumbersome. After a page of news I click “Continue” to read on. Doing this multiple times, then closing an article, rather than being taken back to where is was scanning articles I’m returned to the beginning of the home page. It takes minutes to get back to where I left off. If a reminder pops up on my Phone, back to the Home Page, if my phone goes to sleep, back to the home page. When I finish an article I’d like to return to the page I last read

I prefer to read the news not be forced to watch a video segment of the newscast

Can I just read the news and not be forced to watch all these commercials?
