ABC7 Bay Area App Reviews

This app keeps refreshing when Im in the Discover tab. Yet there’s no refresh the news. Additionally, under any tab in this app, there’s not much news and most of it is old reports. I’m going back to watching the local channel broadcast live on my antenna TV when I am home.

The update isn’t great. The videos play by themselves. There doesn’t seem to be a way to stop them from playing automatically. Please fix this! Or tell me how. I’ve tried to no avail. Edit: I prefer ABC 7 Bay Area for my local news. The newscasters are the best!! But the app… I get a notification on my phone about a story. I click on the story and it takes me to the app and then I have to search for the story. It’s a bit annoying.

We have been using this for quite a while since we cut the cord on cable TV. The content plays fine, it’s the ads that most of the time get stuck in a constant download state. Nothing plays, this morning I started watching the 6am broadcast (at 8am). When it went to an ad I started cooking breakfast, after 10min of no sound I checked and the app was stuck on a 30sec ad and the download circle just spun. Ten minutes later it’s still spinning. This ridiculous behavior is frustrating and unnecessar

Stops working after clicking on different stories. It you just let it play, it’s find, but it you want to select the stories you want to hear/read, then it freezes after clicking on a few.

There is no sound on weather segment, nowhere to turn sound on. You sent me an answer that was standard. I have no sound on weather! Can help me?

so much repetition. SPORTS is pointless with scores (LAME!), and NO highlights

Back to basic functionality for a video based news org but a stupid preference has been revealed. If I choose auto play, starting with the sound muted has value. If I expressly press play, it seems unlikely I want to watch the video without sound. Simple fix. Let’s see how long it takes.

Make the auto on videos all manually activated. VERY annoying to click on a news event and a loud video immediately blares out!

stinks needs fixing i was trying 2 watch the weather & wont show

The new font for the articles is very difficult to read especially for those of us who are dyslexic, please go back to the old one. Or make an option in settings. Thanks

there is no way to leave a review for appletv. first, they just updated it so you have to sort through all of their previously recorded videos to find the “live news”. THEN, for some reason subtitles are not only ALWAYS ON (there are no settings to toggle it on/off), but they put them in the middle left of the screen. fix this!! besides that love my morning cast on abc7 news, thank you!
