This is a great app it work fine, but need more options like copy, paste media files and import files
This is the best music app on iOS, hands down. It’s clear there was a lot of careful thought and consideration put into how it was done. Obviously even better if you own Ableton too but you can make some pretty expansive stems on Note as standalone. I’d like to see some more instruments and effects but otherwise this is one of the best reasons to have an iPhone right now. Great work Ableton ♥️
Once this app has support for midi sustain input and record, it’ll be a 5 star app for me. Everything else works so well. The right integration with the desktop app is fantastic. The sampler could be a bit more sophisticated as it needs the ability to warp samples that can then be mapped to keys and pitched without time issues.
For a paid app by Ableton themselves i was really expecting for updates by now.
I’ve messed around with many saws made for mobile, garage band, FL Studios, and they all have too much going on for a small screen. That is where Ableton note excels at here. This app is optimized for mobile and the best thing to mess around with on the go. The only thing I wish was possible is using my external instrumental like I can with Garage Band.
I’ve been waiting for a mobile version of Ableton for a loooooong time!!! Not quite there yet , but this is a good start. It needs a sample slice function, a mobile version of the simpler . Note is an awesome start for a mobile app from Ableton!!!
Needs better click commands and non live edits
Missing a serious feature to be able to edit start and end point of samples?
Hi, I bought this app thinking I had the ability to detune samples but it seems you can only do that on the drums so I’ll be asking for a refund. However if you don’t care about that, it’s a pretty compact app and the ability to upload to Ableton is convenient. With that said, iOS apps have been around for almost a decade so it’s not that special but it’s solid nonetheless
Been makin beats for almost 10 years always love tryin to make something in my phone but after a week just wasn’t fun or just hard to record but ableton note after this app I had to download the d.a.w and I just want to say thank you worth every penny and then some thank u guys for helping me take my music to the next level 🦾🦾🦾 @808Bot_Beats
Note to Cloud to Ableton
super fun and right in my pocket when wanna start a new project - been a Live user for a very long time! Nice work Abelton!!
Ableton live in your pocket. Making a clip has muscle memory to it. Refreshing and tedious.
New, innovative, every adjective you can associate with Ableton. I’m an Ableton lifer, and this is especially good for its regulars, as it is a great way to start scratch projects. However, the most frustrating thing on the planet as a musician is having your work erased. I recommend not using cloud until this is fixed.
the 2 things that are keeping this from 5 stars are: -no piano roll (i don’t wanna have to play everything live sometimes, and i should be able to edit my midi sequences with some degree of granularity) -can’t import my own drum racks (i’d love to make some funky breakbeat stuff but unfortunately in order to do that i have to manually chop and import samples which is very time consuming and makes the creation process so much more frustrating)
Yea this app is great but please please add a step sequencer.
I take back what I said. I have gotten a lot better at not hitting the delete button accidentally… some practice with it pays off. I love this app. Yes it is limited, and yes that is the beauty of it. The way it forces you to write things relatively “on-time” is such a chop builder imo. Thank you so much P.s. chance mod would be 🔥📈
Nice start with this app. UI is pretty intuitive. It would be super nice to be able to edit note lengths, and have a slightly visible grid that allows a user to line up notes relative to beat times, this is super useful when nudging and fixing notes.
