AllSides - Balanced News App Reviews

The content is great to get news from many sources and to know their bias. This is what I want but there needs to be a close button on the top right corner of an article. Also it could look a little cleaner but I can live with that if navigation is improved.

Apparently there’s no going back, u gotta just close out the app and start looking for another article, amazing app and idea tho

Allsides is such a great idea, especially because ever since Covid I have no idea what new source is telling the truth, so this lays out every side based on their political bias and lets you make the choice. Also, I’m not having any issues navigating the app like others have claimed. Not saying they’re lying, just saying the app works great for me.

For some reason, the app is broken now on my iPhone. I rebooted my phone, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and it is still broken. Not sure how else to fix it.

I recommend this to anyone who’s interested in learning as much as possible about the objective truth of the news, and challenging their own preconceptions and biases.

This is my primary source of news now. This should be everyone’s primary source of news. EVERYONE EVERYWHERE—listen up—make AllSides your primary source of news. Your welcome.

I kinda wish there was more sources for each side (left, right, center), as sometimes even sources aligned the same differ.

Love the app. What happened to Bias selection. I use that list when checking on stuff. Now is simply disappears after a few seconds. Please fix this. I’d give you 5 stars when you do.

No way to follow certain news topics

The bias page often fails with”something went wrong error”. Otherwise loving the app.

First off, I love this app and company. AllSides creates a headache free way to sift through the fog and determine what is actually going on in the world. In a time where opinion and biased news dominates social media, this is much needed. It gives you the ability to step back and see your own biases and consume the news in a healthier way. Thank you!

This is an great news site as it has unbiased news but the app itself has an issue when I click view more it just brings me to the site

Found All Sides on X, and I really like it. News outlets and aggregators have so much bias it feels more like political tabloids than news, so I appreciate this service. The articles are well curated and representative, and the app is easy to use. Highly recommend!

In a world of growing echo chambers, it’s nice to read about the news and also to read about how the news was covered. Additional bonuses include a lack of intrusive, distracting ads and a lack of infinite scrolling/“doomscrolling”. Trust this app, or their website, for your news.

please i want to see all sides on my home screen

Hi! I love this app. I think it’s better than Ground News. But recently it’s had a bug where I don’t see the full stories anymore with the All Sides overview and the covering from different sources. All I see now are individual stories with their bias ratings. I think it happened with the last update. Please fix! I would give it five stars for sure if it was how it used to be!

Not a bad source of news. I like how AllSides writes a simple narrative of how each leaning news org writes their piece and highlights the difference between left and right news reporting. I have two problems though hence the 2 star review. First is opening an article is done internally through the app browser. I wish it would open via your phone browser because there’s so many ads. Second, I’m not longer able to access the app or the website in a foreign country. It says I’ve been banned but

When I first started using the app it was good there was some adds on some stories. Now I can’t even read a paragraph with out the same video add trying to hijack my screen . I can close the add time after time and it just pops right back up making reading impossible! I do like how they rate the sources a lot tho.

I use several news aggregation applications and I am always on the lookout for an application which does not skew the news or selectively display their own perspectives. This applications algorithm is the worst I have seen so far at presenting a broad perspective. They are clearly inserting their opinions by only showing some articles. Once this application gets to a point where they present “all sides”, I would enjoy using interface like this.

There are more views out there than left, right, center, and more news than US politics.

Most of the top, featured stories lean to the left. I want a neutral platform, not a platform that prioritizes topics that lean left.
