23 Positive User Reviews for Amazon Kids plus

Parent Dashboard complicated

Very complicated dashboard for parents. I spend a lot of my time in settings and search for items I don’t want my kids to see.

Games not working

All games are not working. Gives a white screen. Tried closing out and restarting but no luck. Very frustrating

Great

This app is great but I search for some games like simulators but it doesn’t seem to have any so if you could add more games that would be great 👍

It doesn’t load all the time

It will just glitch and not load forerver

Great app but one constant problem

I love this app and the ease that I can manage my kids’ fire tablets BUT it is constantly prompting me to create my PIN. I have created my PIN, the same PIN, at least 50 times, and sometimes it asks me to multiple times a day. I wouldn’t mind so much if it was once a month or every couple weeks, but every day? Please fix this.

Works for most of the items needed

Works great for controlling the tablets. I do not get notifications to approve or deny downloads however. Also, playing games with my kids it doesn’t save my turn, it instead kicks me out of the game and we have to start over if my phone times out which is frustrating.

so laggy

the app is so buggy I can’t get in it easily

Can’t approve content request

This platform should allow me to approve content request. Instead, it specifically tells me that I can’t do it from this platform and doesn’t show how/where to go. Otherwise, it’s fine.

Homeschool

Perfect for homeschooling! PARENTS, I strongly encourage you to invest the time to go through all the options available. You can block ANY (game, movie, book or title) by using specific words, Example; Blippi, scary, ghost, Halloween, devil, evil, or even Christmas, holiday or whatever it is that you don’t want your child to be exposed to. You can even block content that your child watches to much of. I LOVE THIS APP

What’s going on?

I cant download any books. What is going on!

If only

Getting the screen limit time toggle to rest on the time limit I want to choose is extremely aggravating. And I wish the app would default to grown ups mode.

Locked

Oh! Just like my free time iPad! I really love this app but my mom placed a time limit to how long I can use it, I didn’t know it existed but IT IS TERRIBLE!!!!

Amazing!!!

This is the first time my child has not asked about being on YOUTUBE , and has played games , been interested in watching different educational things with her tablet . I am in love and so is she 💚

This is such a good app

I have been using this app since I downloaded it Otis such a good app

There should be more device controls

I disappointed with the parental controls and the maze of dialogs and settings. I would think that they could design a better platform. I don’t see myself using this after the 2 year commitment. I would rather go back to my IPad. Yes I do understand how android works but it is android, and it can be controlled by any designer and a better built platform is a key. I mean you can’t even control the max volume but I can download an app from the google play store.

Just ok

Great for little kids Too many hoops to add content and the kids content from Amazon is minimal. My kids re 6 &8 and they can’t find an original story. It is also too hard to make podcasts available. Make it easier please!

Small Glitches But Okay Overall

Changed settings to use data and for the most part, stuff played but every now and then I’ll have to shut the app down because it redirects to use Wi-Fi or turn off airplane mode. At that time of the stop, Wi-Fi is on AND airplane mode hadn’t been activated—not to add that again it should be using data. Aside from that, it doesn’t seem that more than one kid can use this at one time from separate devices. Will update later

6 Negative User Reviews for Amazon Kids plus

Very inconsistent usage.

We can not seem to readily open the app. It lags and takes forever to open. Must swipe out and retry. I've tried cellular only, wifi only, and both turned on together still poor action. It is a crapshoot , whether we get to use it or not. Please help. Our free trial ends, and I don't want to pay for an application or program that doesn't work.

Amazon Controls Your Kids Content

Amazon does not give parents the ability to customize the tablet. Amazon adds content constantly. I’d prefer to be able to only have minimal apps that I approve rather than setting an age range which results in a free for all of random content.

Great when it works

Have two fire tablets for the kids . This app on the iPhone has issues loading all the time. Also has trouble accessing the parent controls.

Not working according to what I thought it would

I’m paying for apps in here and it’s not letting me put use the apps on the fire tablet it’s quite annoying

Not granular enough

Why do I have to scroll through everything to enable apps on a profile? Provide a search function within the parents dashboard. Why do I have to disable Amazon kids on devices in order for my kids to access playlists in the family library? Why can’t I set schedules based on the devices they have? I want their echo to be accessible all the time while restricting their tablet access. Do better Amazon especially for yet another thing I’m having to pay for.

Not working

None of the settings work, time limits don’t stick, too hard to add the games/shows I approve to the kid area, they go to the adult area. I don’t want her in the adult area. Simply turning it off from the parent app doesn’t work. Not impressed.
