I constantly come back to this application whenever I’m looking for a quick refresher on how to tie a knot or to find a new one to learn! It has the easiest and cleanest format for learning! I’m so happy they keep adding new materials and also include knot history and use information.

Easily the best five bucks one can spend online. I got this app during Covid to learn some new stuff and kill some time. It has been way more than some quarantine entertainment. It's a tool just as useful as a dictionary, flashlight, or camera. Get this app.

This is by far the most clear and comprehensive collection of knots available in app form. I’ve been using it for years, and have installed it on every device I’ve owned. If you want to learn knots, you’ve come to the right place.

This is an amazing app with detailed animations and great background information on each knot’s history and uses. It also directly references the great book of Ashley’s knots so you know it’s legitimate!

This app is user friendly and has a nice, simple interface that makes it easy to search for the knot I need. It includes an extensive list of knots with animations that make each easy to understand. This is great for any age (children and adults), and any ability.

I've used this app for many years it is fantastic.

Every knot for any situation and then some. Very accurately categorized and precisely presented. This app is handier than my leatherman.

My go to for knots. The slideshows for directions are very easy to follow. A life saver when I needed to learn how to tie a bow tie for a wedding.

I’ve been using this app for years. The animations are professionally done and on point. But the info section on the knot or the hitch’s history, recent tests, use with Spectra or Dynema rope and so much more makes this app, truly the modern equivalent of Clifford Ashley’s Book of Knots.

I’ve used Grog’s website for years and just realized that he has an app. Happy to finally support him because he’s been an amazing resource for me to learn all types of climbing knots. From useful everyday ones to obscure knots that still have a place in the toolbox. Even neckties? Thanks Grog!!

The only thing missing from the app is animation speed, other than that, as a web and app developer, it’s a great mobile version of the website! I primarily bought this to support the website. Simple, intuitive, and extremely useful app. I reference it anytime I am teaching knots or learning new ones. Organized very simply and easy to find new knots (many I had never learned/heard of) for specific activities. The “info” section on each knot is a GREAT resource too.

Make the knots searchable by name! Otherwise, this is basically the perfect app.

I think the app could be improved with the addition of a soft shackle calculator. This would allow you to put in final dimensions of what you are trying to accomplish and would return specs on how much line to use etc. Love the App Thanks S.V. Blizzard

Organized by activity or occupation, this app hosts a handy and extensive list of knots you’ll find useful. I also appreciate the fact the authors don’t ask for a continuing subscription.

I started carrying this app and some line everywhere I went in the city so I could practice for my weekend outings. Works well as long as you have line to follow along.
