When scrolling through articles with the voice screen, reader turned on, the app intermittently loses its place. It will drop down to the tabs, then you have to find your way back to the articles.

I’m not sure what happened, but the notifications filters don’t work anymore. I get notifications for everything now, including sports, which I have turned off. Hope you guys can fix this with the next update.

Great news, but it takes ages to load compared to other news apps.

I love this app and appreciate the AP news reporting. I like that I get good information that I can trust. My only complaint is that the breaking news notification sound changed. I loved the original “breaking news” alert because it was unique and I knew something was happening that I should pay attention to.

I like that the same story may run for an extra day or two but there is too much story duplication within the app for iPad. I sometimes see the same story three times in one reading. The videos in the video section don’t always play. I still think the reporting is great and unbiased, but it is taking me longer to get through the daily reading due to duplication.

Notifications come and go with app updates. Please don’t break notifications when updating the app. iOS 26.0.1 Review update: still no notifications after the app update today, 11/1/25 Review update 11/25/25: I was hopeful that the latest app update would resolve this issue, but it has not. Would really appreciate you getting this fixed so I get your notifications. All app and phone settings are set correctly.

I work at a church and was growing weary of the bias of both Fox News and CNN. I asked my supervisor which news source was middle of the road and the least biased. He showed me a chart of all the news apps and Associated Press (AP) was right in the middle. I downloaded the app and that’s all I read now. It’s very informative and gives me the up to date news without heavy bias or lies and I’m sold!!

I enjoy ap. You run stories for several days. That's ok. It would be a great improvement to make it easier to identify older stories. It's aggravating to sift through them.

Love the APNews and this app is easy to navigate.

I’m assured that I’ll receive accurate, up to date accounting of the latest information when I read anything published.

I understand the need to be subsidized with ads. No problems with that. I do have a problem with the fact that if I am listening to something, and I decide to scroll the news app, it will stop audio from music or whatever else any time I scroll past an ad, even when it doesn’t play music.

Always current information.

Being new to the app I love and appreciate the compact informative stories getting me current.

As reported for several versions and not fixed, the app will automatically take over the sound and stop any music you are trying to listen to while you read the news. I’m in the app to simply read, not get trapped by video clips.

App takes so long to display initial headlines you have to force quit, restart, then switch sections to get the home tab to display. Trying to load a section, like US News, or World News, takes 8-10 seconds. Ridiculous.

I struggle to see the news itself as fair and unbiased when the super clickbaitey ads are clearly peddling misinformation. I’m get that it’s a difficult climate for new organizations, but I don’t think you can have it both ways.
