9 Positive User Reviews for Approach Speed Calculator Pro

great app! BUT more could be done like adding takeoff references as well !

Very nice

Very useful app nice interface, would like to see the rate of descent with a variable angle

Very Useful!

Outstanding for precise data verification. Wish numbers were larger, but app is easy to use and very useful under challenging conditions.

Does calculate tail wind gust correctly

Changed my review. I was in error. Great app.

Super!

Easy to use. Super helpful.

Max wind additive

The B767 at our company is flown with a max wind additive of 20 knots. (1/2 steady state headwind component plus full gust factor above headwind component) i.e. RWY 36, Vref=135, wind-360/20G40, Vapp should be 155, but the app says 150. This app has the max wind additive at 15 knots. Is there a way to change this to 20 knots?

Crosswind miscalculation

Shot an approach today into KDEN 35L (351 HDG) Vref 140 winds 260@20G36 according to the app Vapp 145. During an update it now does not add full gust factor anymore for crosswind. No longer complies with Boeing FTM of 1/2 headwind component plus the full gust up to 15 knots (still 20 at some companies).

Very handy

It would be nice if there were some option to toggle between the 15 and 20 additive. The new FCTM May say 15, but airlines are slow to actually change the procedure. Flying the 747 and our FCOM and current version of FCTM still shows max of ref and 20. Other than that it’s fantastic.
