11 Positive User Reviews for Arc Sidebar Sync
Not bad
It’s not bad on iPhone. Very simplistic. Missing a lot of features common to other browsers.
Pros
- Syncs with Arc Desktop
- Simple and easy to use
Cons
- Unable to select it as default browser
- No landscape view- you’re stuck in portrait.
- Some search tabs don’t get saved
Great on Desktop, Missing features on mobile
I love the Arc browser. I have changed over to arc on desktop and it has been huge for my productivity and focus. It’s the cleanest and most efficient browser one can use. It is also beautiful. However, the mobile app is lacking in features. I big one: the commonly used bookmarks that pin to the top of the desktop browser are not visible on mobile, cutting out several bookmarks or go to sites from the mobile experience. Bit of a bummer considering how nice this feature is on desktop and how muc

The future is beautiful
Everything I want in a browser while looking absolutely stunning. It’s incredible
Okay start. Much room for improvement.
It’s a nice Internet browsing experience and what it does sync it does so sync rather well. It’s pretty.
That said, there is a whole lot to be desired.
• Too Stripped Down: No settings access at all.
• No actual bookmark sync.
• Can’t set it as the default browser.
• No option to select mobile and desktop versions of sites.
• Account requirement just to even use it.
• Requires a Mac to set up an account. Can’t set it up on this.
• No iPadOS version.
Most other browsers have all these features.
Auto play on scroll has bugs
Can you all PLEASE fix auto play videos that work when scrolled into view. Currently those videos start to play before the content is scrolled into view. I’ve asked repeatedly through in app feedback to no avail.
5 Star But Still Waiting
Love the browser and this companion. Just waiting for the iPad app, be it a full browser or a companion.
Join in Arc’s journey
Arc (and The Browser Company in general) is a fun experience. They’re trying new things - touches of whimsy - buttery UX - and I almost love the unfinishedness of it. It feels like I’m joining in on the project that could become something of the level of a Notion
Is it dramatic to call a browser life-changing?
It may seem extreme, but given how the internet, and how we use it, dominates most folks’ careers at this point, it’s kind of a big deal when a “simple” browser totally disrupts how we use the internet (in a good way). Granted the iOS app is really just a companion app at this time, but I see it getting better quickly already. Hugely happy about making the switch to Arc!
Great start!!
Arc on MacOS is better than Safari. And that’s saying a lot!! On mobile, it’s more at the moment of this review (March 2023), an open beta. But it’s free. It’s fast, convenient, intuitive, powerful and varied. It promises a lot and if they manage to do the same as the desktop version, it’s going to be amazing. I just wish it was also really made for ipad.
