I’ve highly benefited from the Ascension app. It’s a great resource for Catholics and people interested in learning more about their faith

Love this app and it’s been very helpful in my faith formation. Only feedback I have is that it tends to require me to open it twice for some reason to get to the content and then also crashes at least once when I’m listening to the podcasts. If the engineers can make it more stable, this would be perfect. Love it though!

I use the Ascension app for a lot of things and this year I am really enjoying The Bible in a Year and it’s 5 year anniversary bonus’ it really gets me thinking and gives me more insight to the Bible and all of it’s meanings

Only been using it a few weeks but so far I’m really enjoying the process of reading the Bible in a year and the commentary that Father Mike adds each day. Looking forward to doing the Crux for Lent. I’ve been away from the church for a long time and am now getting back into it. I feel the personal growth I’m making.

I love this app overall. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is for two reasons. The first is: the Catholic Faith, not to mention has a language of its own. There are words you come across in the Bible and the Catechism that you simply do not encounter very often in everyday reading. It would be great if there were a way to look those words up without having to leave the app. Seems like a minor inconvenience, but for me, it’s more of a major one. This App is easy to use. It is very intuitive. So much Christian content is contained in this one App. Do you want to search the Bible? You can do it here. Do you want a concrete plan to read the Bible? You can do it here. Do you have questions about Christianity? This App is a good place to start to find your answers.

I am working through the Bible in a Year program but I would like to use multitasking on my iPad to have my notes app and this app open at the same time. Can you guys enable multitasking on iPad?

First of all I’m a Christian but not a Catholic. I got this app to do the Bible in a Year program. Father Mike is amazing and has helped me beyond words. He has keen insight to the Bible. He’s honest and also humorous at the same time. I am on day 289 and love learning about the Bible. Great App, I love how it connects the Bible and the Catechism so closely. Many other great resources. Would move to 5 stars if they improved the search feature. In other Bible apps the search feature is way more comprehensive. Thanks for the continued support of the Catholic faith and church

Daily readings along with daily readings with the Bible in a year is definitely Food for my soul. Father Mike helps with explanations and examples with todays life. It’s just so good.

Bible in a year with Fr. Mike is truly inspirational! He makes it easy to understand with an explanation at the end of each daily reading which lasts approximately 20 minutes. I look forward to every reading. Who’d have thought! Thank you Fr. Mike🙏

Love how I can read along with words

Content is great. In Bible in a Year “Additional content” sections have a font size that is too small. Turning font size all the way up in the app (so it’s really big everywhere else) only gets you a standard font size in these collapsable sections. Also in these sections, multimedia content is unstable. There are videos of Jeff Cavins I couldn’t get to play properly after force closing the app. Using a fully updated version of the app, iOS, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This is a great refresher, and Fr. Mike keeps you on track with easy to “consume” 15-ish minutes a day. Highly recommended.

love this app. happy that there are a lot of amazing things on here for free and it’s already enriched my personal relationship with Jesus, my Father and Holy Spirit. i really like the audio bible and just so many of the features this app offers. i use it every day. so thankful!

Although my interest is high I am unable to stay awake during the readings. Time does not matter- early or late in the day. I enjoy the first readings (short) before the Readings by Father Mike. I am sad about that. Pat

I really enjoy the reflection every day There would be one nice feature if the reflection every day had an option to be able to share so I could text two friends and family. I highly recommend this app for the Bible in a Year podcast and/or reading plan. Same with the Catechism in a Year (next year’s goal). I just finished Day 158. Most of this year I merely read the daily readings, which is fine. But for the last 10 days or so, I’ve actually listened to the podcast (I’m not a podcast guy, believe me), and it has transformed my daily commute or errands around town. I bought the annual subscription and I don’t regret it! I’m learning so much, and getting closer to God.

When I started Bible in a year, I was suffering from high anxiety. I don’t take any medication for it, but it was becoming debilitating. I started Bible in a year and did meditation through Hallow before starting each day. My anxiety has gone down considerably. Along with that, I am rediscovering my Catholicism. I have never read the Bible and I feel like I am learning so much. I would suggest this to anyone who wants to start their day out in a calm demeanor

What a magnificent app this is. Father Mike is amazing in presenting the Bible in an approachable and extremely knowledgeable way that truly captivates one’s attention. I cannot put it down and plan to do the catechism right after the Bible in a year. I can’t believe I waited this long to do this.

Can there be more Bible study sessions and more studies like on Mary or the sacraments or on first and second Samuel or 1st and 2nd Kings etc? Love this app

When there is additional content for a particular day in BIY, if it is a video or graphic, most of the time it says there was an error and doesn’t load the content. However, if I tap thumbs down it loads the content successfully. Something seems just slightly off. That being said, the content is awesome!

I have been listening to the Catechism in a year where Fr. Mike reads and then analyses/explains the passage. His enthusiasm is contagious. He has engaged me completely, so much more than I had been in listening to the Bible in a year through a different source. If there was a Fr.
