It is essential!
This is the best and perhaps most essential app on the market for hosting audio plugins on iOS. There is so much thought put into the design, I am constantly surprised to find a helpful feature to fit a specific purpose just one tap away. I would highly recommend it! And for the developers, could you please add sync clock to external devices? It would clean up my workflow so I donāt need to rely on extra apps to provide it thru Link š
Its 2025 lets get this with proper clock
AUM is far and away the best tool for bringing together iPad music making apps, doing so with an elegance, an ease, and a clarity that really facilitates music production on iOS.
This app took me away from MainStage!!!
Nothing compares to how great this app is. Also the tireless work he puts into the updates shows that this is an app you can rely on for years to come.
Been using this app for years and Iāve been completely convinced itās the best way to make music with iOS. It can be as basic or as complex as you want/need it to be. The possibilities are truly endless! My only gripe with the app is that I canāt sync it, as a midi slave, with my hardware. Iāve been using a mpc500 way before I got into the iOS space, and Iād really love to find a way to make them compatible.
Three words- just buy it. Iāve been using this for ten years and it has been the jumping off point for scores of tracks, often my best tracks. You can just buy it first and read the reviews later. it will be the centerpiece of your ios music making, especially for live performance. Thereās no timeline, so structured song creation would need to be done in concert with other apps or daws. Still, it will be the beating heart and the brain of your workflow. The GOAT
I purchased it on November 28 for Black Friday instead of 14.99 but they charge me $40 But I canāt wait to check it out. Hopefully, they can reimburse me.
Itās crazy how sophisticated and powerful iPhones have become. I remember having to manually program drum machines in the 80s, only being able to do midi on macs in the 90ās, barely being able to do multitrack recoding on PCs in 2000s. Now all of that can all be done on your iPhone using AUM - an app that glues sequencing, third party synths/effects into an integrated host. AUM is definitely a well designed and high quality piece of audio software (thatās coming from a guy that has been a mus
I wrote a longer review twice but my iPad kept closing the window and erasing it. So Iām gonna be brief. Buy this app if you are even considering it, amazing workflow capabilities and awesome dev who obviously cares about improving their software! 20 bucks is nothing for this level of functionality.
Spend a lot of time here / itās amazing.
AUM is practically a work of art, so few thinks are left to be desired. However, I do desire the ability to visually group channels, to collapse the groups, and expand them, like code folding in an IDE. It would improve my workflow, and help me focus. Tips and Best Wishes!
Great app, pretty much an essential on both my IPad and using IPad apps with my desktop, itās an amazing mixer for all my iPad instruments and affects and then some. The only weakness is that it doesnāt receive midi sync, which is pretty sad. For instance Id love to be able to sequence my hardware synth with my MPC and record them into AUM and have AUM wait for a midi sync signal to start recording. I wish the developer knew how amazing that would be , but every app has at least on major flaw. O
Professional app. Great app support. thanks to Jonatan Liljedahl..
Greatā¦. Please add video support for multimedia artists Many musicians would love to also incorporate visuals in sync with their music You have audio and MiDi mixing, input, and outputā¦. I would love it if it had the ability to host video players or a vj app
I am brand new to making music on iOS and have been fumbling around and doing research in all realms and finally came upon AUM being something that every musician should have⦠the more I use it the more I discover⦠I originally thought it was just a random mixing app but it is much much more⦠it has become the glue that holds all of music apps together in one convenient place⦠once you get past the initial learning curve you be be pleasantly surprised again and again when you unearth more and mo
I canāt fathom an iOS music creation workflow that doesnāt include AUM.
...you should!!! It gets used almost every day around here. Wonderful app. Absolute must-have along with AudioShare. Kymatica apps are some of the best iOS music apps available.
Everyone who makes music on iOS needs this app. Thank you so much for all your hard work in developing AUM. I only ask for one more thing; built in LFOs for all the app parameters. Please consider this. Thanks again.
This is a MUST HAVE application. The best. End of story
The most unsmart thing you can do is think āI already have a DAW, whatās the point of AUMā¦ā uhhh not sure why I waited this long to finally get it. Worth the money.
AUM is a must have app if you want to use an iPad live. The ease of use. MIDI implementation, and ability to layer and structure channels, stack keyboards, and sync tempos is phenomenal. Itās taken my bands live show to another level. About as flexible and easy to learn as one could want. Just fantastic.
Amazing app and essential imo. Ultimate creative playground.
Now you can swipe right on any plugin or synth and see individual CPU usage and how many ms it adds to your signal. Helping you decide which ones are worth keeping in your signal chain and workflow. Thank you for the hard work!
