Amazing opportunity to be of service

I’ve been a helping member for “Be My Eyes” since 2019. It has to be one of my most anticipated calls of the year. Absolutely love helping people that just need a little assistance. Wether that may be identifying items at home, the store, crossing the street, picking out a pink shirt etc. it is such a humbling, content feeling.

Helping Is Good

I’ve already helped a couple of people and it was super easy. This is such an awesome use of technology, I’m really happy to be a part of something like this that actually helps people in the moment.

I signed up and got my first call last week! Helped a man get back home and he was so sweet! Best app ever! It’s the little things!

I absolutely love this app and being a light for someone else. I have received a few calls and enjoy every minute of helping the caller on the other end of the line. Can’t wait to help even more!!

Easy to use amazing program.

I just answered my first call and was able to help someone who needed my eyes to see the controls on the laundromat dryer. It took under 2 minutes. He was grateful and I am overwhelmed with what a blessing this app is.

You guys are doing a great job. I love how much more accessible you’re making my life. It reads my mail so nicely. I actually got documents from a court and I read the entire thing to me. I didn’t have to ask anybody to read it to me so I was able to have my own business kept private. Love it keep it going, but it is getting a little hard to get a life person and sometimes you do need a lie person. Please keep them. anyway, love it keep going. Anytime you need a test person. I’ve had the pleasure of answering several calls out through this app, and it always makes me happy to know that I was able to help another person! I was a bit worried at first if there was going to be people taking advantage of the video call feature to show inappropriate imagery, but Be My Eyes does a absolutely phenomenal job in making sure that doesn’t happen. I’ve been using this app to help people for the past two years and it’s been such a great way to help people! I usually just help them indentify objects they have and they’re super quick calls! I’ve always dealt with incredibly kind and considerate people so it really makes me happy I can help out.

I think this app is fantastic. What a gift for people needing a little help.

As a blind person, I always get stuck with problems in my Windows operating system. Before I would have to search all over the Internet and try to figure things out myself. Now that I’ve got me my eyes and the volunteer services, I am able to become more independent and help my family at the same time. Thank you so much for all the hard work!h

It feels great to be able to help others from around the world. I’ve had the app since April and I’ve helped two people. One suggestion I’d make is maybe on the volunteers end, we are able to track the number of people we’ve helped.

Great ap very helpful and kind people

Being able to stop what I am doing and help people who need it is the most fulfilling part of this app. I don’t personally know any visually impaired people, but if I did this would be the first app I recommend to them. This app is incredible! I love getting notifications that someone needs my eyes and I love being able to help!

Be My Eyes is a great way to feel helpful to others. My great aunt was legally blind, and each time I answer a Be My Eyes call and help someone, I feel connected to her.

I’ve helped someone set the right temperature on their oven; determine what color the shirt on the hanger was, and provide movie start times from a video screen that weren’t audible. Quick and easy each time, and if I were sight impaired I could see this being a great help to know there are thousands of US out here willing to “Be My Eyes.” Appropriate technology and use of crowd sourcing if there ever was one.

Great ap very helpful and kind people

I shouldn’t encourage others to join since it might decrease my chances to get a call. However, helping individuals with low vision makes me so happy, I can’t help it. It’s so easy - you get a video call and help someone “see” what they need to see. There’s no pressure if you can’t take a call since one of the millions of other volunteers is eager and ready. I truly appreciate this simple way to help others.

I got my first call today to help someone and after we completed the task I was brought to tears. I’m so happy I could help someone!

Help blind low-vision people do daily tasks most of us take for granted. Everything from can you guide my to a bench in a park, to can you help me read the expiration on this prescription. Just an amazing company run by amazing people.

While I’ve only been called on once so far it reaffirmed the need for something like this. A man called and needed help figuring out what cash he had in his pocket (found in previously worn pants) and didn’t have anyone to help him out. I helped identify each bill so he could properly place them in his wallet. It took me all of 30 seconds but that man left his house confident he had enough on hand to get through his day.

What a great way to give back and provide straightforward help to those who would like it. App works well and provides a great tool for the visually impaired- calls are seamless and easy.

Download the app. It’s so fulfilling to help someone. I’ve helped someone cross the street, identify cans in their pantry etc. It takes just a few minutes and they are so grateful!

Love helping these people it’s easy and makes me feel good and puts a smile on my face all day

I have only received two calls for assistance since downloading this app but each call has brightened my day. The callers have been so friendly and being able to help, even a little, has done so much for my spirit. I believe it has helped me more than I could ever help someone else. Love it!

What a great idea for an app! It makes it a very smooth process for users (at least from the volunteer end) and it is a very simple way to help someone. I got a call randomly one time and it only took a minute to help read a medicine label.

Glad to have this kind of apps

It took over a year but I finally got a call. It wasn’t easy — it took the caller & I quite a bit of time to locate his lost & turned off phone. But wow was it worth it. I’m so happy to have helped this man and I’m so grateful to the creators of this app for making acts of kindness so easily accessible anytime, anywhere!
