Leaving this review because there is no way to contact support or provide feedback. I have been using this app in the Philippines for the last few years and it is been mostly great until a recent update. Now when I search for destinations it returns results from the other side of the planet. The search use to work exactly like Google maps, but now it’s broken and unusable for me. I hope you can fix this.
Simple and turn to turn directions for bikes. Options for fast, average and quiet rides.
The app is not bad but I wish there was a step by step preview of every turn or exit so I can memorize it since the turn by turn direction don’t tell you street or exit names. I like that it’s simple but it’s a tad too simple.
I like the device for motorcycle. App is only good for basic a to b stuff. Good that you can import gpx so i plan routes on google and then usethis to navigate the route on my motorcycle.
Just got it really, only wish I could reset my total mileage weekly.
Been using Velo2 for about two years, my only issue is it uploads total time to strava as moving time and my average speed number is significantly lower. Otherwise it’s a nice product!
Moto and moto 2 user. Love the unit and its simplicity. However I want to plan routes before riding and the online app for non phone/tablet users is really poor, imo. If the desktop version could be the same as the phone app, it would be a great way to close the loop.
So far I’m loving the app. Sometimes I wish there was a quicker way to just jump to a location rather than planning a ride. A simple type to destination would be great. Some other feature suggestions would be to add support for A2DP so we could control media from the device. One more page to see what’s playing and skip, pause, control volume would be so amazing. The other suggestion would be for an addition tire pressure monitoring system. Selling some smart caps that pair with the device/app
there are no complicated roots to the destination. it’s just easy and simple. great navigation!
This is a good app for motorcyclists. It’s great being able to go from A to B and decide whether you want to take a fast or fun route. It’s easy to make your own rides and plot points on the route. Other apps do this, but they require subscriptions. The actual navigation itself is pretty simple which is good. Only done a couple of rides so far, but i like the simplicity. Using my phone at the minute, but if this continues to be a good way of navigating, I may buy the actual beeline unit. I need
I’ll admit it took me some getting used too and I’ve not tried it on a long trip yet. But I ride my motorcycle about 60 miles a day and don’t want my phone on my handle bar mount. Love the auto night mode.
The Beeline MOTO and the Beeline Route Planner App are fabulous and a must have for all motorcycle adventurists. The Compass, Fast and Fun Route are great options for choosing your routes. I recently used Beeline MOTO on a 7 day motorcycle sidecar adventure through Oregon - mostly using the Fun Route mode. Beeline MOTO navigated me with so much ease and great accuracy along the Oregon coast, along the Columbia River Gorge, through the Mount Hood National Forest and finally some Wine Country.
I just wanted turn by turn navigation. Import from and upload to strava. And this is the only device that does that perfectly for an unbeatable price. And it does more. It’s super light, easy to mount and dismount and incredibly light. It even auto changes brightness. The beeps are perfectly audible when to make a turn.
This is a wonderful app 75 percent of the time. A watch app would help with usability across situational riding. The cell phone is of course the week link here. You are forced to Cary a satellite gps in addition because of lack of cell service in many areas. The dream would be of course the unit’s ability to connect to a satellite gps for better overall reliability. Overall this is a great product for bike’s and motorcycles.
great on it’s on to plan new routes. works even better when paired with the device!
Nifty piece of tech though there’s some kinks from time to time. Rerouting tends to b the issue. You also need to have the ability to have more than Beeline paired as I have two for my 2 bikes.
I am a proud owner of the MOTO II . The Beeline app is simple and easy to use. The MOTO II is all I needed. Goodbye Garmin, goodbye Basecamp.
Been seeing a lot of ads for the moto 2 and really loved the idea. Thought I would check out the app first. I like how you can get the app for free and have plenty of functionality without a subscription or buying a device. I loved how you can draw out your route super easy and save it for later I love connecting obscure backroads to get to places and this app is perfect for that. I ordered a moto 2 after seeing how well the app works because the device is only as good as the app its running off
The navigation could be better. Please give turn directions at least 500ft before the turn. While riding on a motorcycle it can be difficult to safely turn when you are given the turn direction at 50feet before the turn. The final destination dot sometimes is misleading when the roads do not go in straight lines to the final destination.
I cannot believe how well rounded this product is. Tried different navigation systems and phone apps before. This device does not clutter your handle bars nor your mind or attention. It displays what you need to know at the moment and what is coming next. That’s all you need to know while riding. Now did a permanent install as part of the dash. Will get two more Moto 2’s for my other bikes. May even upgrade to the Plus subscription for which you only pay when you have you riding season.
2 Negative User Reviews for Beeline Bike Navigation
I planned a fun ride from San Jose to Berkeley. Half way through it completely lost track of where it was and sent me riding around in bumper to bumper traffic for 2 hours in 85° heat. It did ok this morning going from Marin to San Jose. But after this afternoon, I think I’m just going to go back to Apple Maps. Beeline is not easy for prime time.
In theory the beeline is a great thing, simplify the navigation process. Application brings a bit of frustration as navigation mistakes are easy to make without actually having the complete route on the phone in front of you. I found myself off route and had to refer to the map to regain my heading. Perhaps with more use I’d learn to be more proficient with it but at this point it more of a cool gadget than it is helpful.
