Blinkist: Book Summaries Daily App Reviews

Maybe reading the whole book would be more helpful but for people like me that read a whole book in months, Blinkist is a great way to read a book summary in just a day so in a week maybe you can read a few books and get the idea!

Blinkest allows me to listen/read books in summary format that give me enough information to increase my knowledge base AND decide if I should get the full book to add to my library and research. For this 50+ year old this is the Cliff-notes plus versions. Thank you Blinkest Developers/ editors/narrators.

I learned of Blinkit from Time magazine & immediately downloaded the app. It’s exactly what I expected. Will use daily for the next few days & expect to continue reading & listening to Blinkit. I like it & am sure I will benefit from using it. Plan to share info about Blinkit with my son.

If you like to read, you really need to try this out.

I currently don’t have a premium subscription, and I’ve carried one for more than 12 months in prior years. I have found this service to be of great value to me for both personal and professional development purposes. It often helps me determine if I’m willing to purchase the book. It also gives me the gems that I like to apply in my own life right away and the take action strategies for continued growth and success.

Which is enough emotion and character and genuineness behind the speaker they become good quite fine oraters oratorios orders in the process!!

Overall good. Points docked for lack of many book titles that I searched for but weren’t available.

For someone who doesn’t like reading thick long books but still want to learn the key points on them, this is the perfect app for us! Been using it for almost 5 years now and it has helped me alot to love reading, even if just for a few minutes of my day.

So we can go jogging without the phone

Everything about this app is well done and thought through. The UI, the blinks, and the understanding of the content. Only problem I have with it is as it’s relatively new the amount of books is a low amount at least that pertain to what I was looking for. All in all great just needs more of a selection which should come with time

Say goodbye to spending $20 on a self-help book only to realize it could have been easily condensed into 15 minutes of audio… Blinkest also provides an ability to preview more in-depth books, then you can buy the book to gain further detail. The idea of readers digest is nothing new but this makes it easy via audio (and text) and they cover a solid amount of books on many topics (fiction and nonfiction). The narration is good and they pull out the main points, then summarize those at the end.

I’ve enjoyed Blinkist for years. Not only do they summarize engaging titles but they do so in a way that encourages me to, at minimum, BLINK so that I don’t miss out on leisurely reading. Recommended for busy bibliophiles for sure. Good stuff!

Definitely need a simple reminder to incorporate this into my daily life, 10 seconds

Educating time saver!

I love this app so far. The 15-30 minute “blinks” are efficient, and deliver information effectively. I love both the audio and the readable blinks. I am also so happy with the variety of types of non-fiction books available. I can get my nerdy science fix on and then turn around and receive self-help information. Try this app if you love educating yourself, but sometimes just don’t have the time to read every novel on your TBR list!

This app is so well designed and has decreased my doom scrolling time and instead filled that time with useful and mindful learning. There is a great selection of readings that fits my short attention span needs. Love!!

This is a great concept for an app. I always want to read but rarely ever have the time or attention span to be reading for hours. In todays day of short attention spans, hopefully this app will gain more popularity soon. It would be nice if there were some sections under the books where we can write out our own notes and thoughts as we’re reading. Also, it would be cool to see some more social media type elements here, like forums to discuss the books.

It would be cool, if when you want to delve deeper into a subject you could go to the chapter/chapters to leaf through. One thing I was missing was practical examples/stories that help the reader solidify understanding of the given concept.

Are there any plans for adding a watch app? I think it will be a great benefit to listen to Blinks while running or during a walk without the phone distractions.

Really enjoying this but I would like to leave my huge iPhone at home and be able to hear the audio on my Apple Watch. I wonder if I am the only person that wants this feature.

Very encouraging! Love that it gets us to truly embrace who we are created to be!Also it gives the importance of balance between work and play, that both are important.

I have tried for a while to find time to reread classics until I realized that it was a uthopic attempt. Then I discovered blinkist and found how to review a dense book on classic economic thought such as “the wealth of nations” in 11 minutes. If… it makes me want to know more I can consider reading the whole thing but at least I succeded at reviewing the Basic concepts.

This app, is organized and has made it so that I learn what I need to learn in a short time. It has really helped me take my learning serious and if you’re someone like me who likes to learn get this app!

Blinkist has become my favorite app while commuting and preparing to sleep. Having the power to consumer a non-fiction book in less than 20 minutes is empowering to someone like me who struggles with non-fictions. Don’t get me wrong; I can consume fictions like crazy, but if I must read non-fiction, I’d choose Blinkist.

I listen Blinkist during exercise, watering the lawn and garden, doing yoga, running errands in the car, etc…. I find it therapeutic and a helpful stress reducer. It’s entertainment for your ears!

Every book lover should be using this app. The short nuggets of knowledge has helped improve my quality of life.

Yes, I missed out on illustrations and examples, but I received the content I needed and probably would not have read the entire book anyway.

The app is personalized by my interests, and the blinks have great content and are super convenient. It gave me an option to select categories and personnel I am interested in. The short blink segments are great to learn new things in a sizable bite. Not too long not too short! I’m a fan!

I have always struggled with reading coz I always hated the small not so important pages in any book. This app literally made every word and sentence valuable and important. It made reading fun and straightforward to the point. Highly recommend to ppl who don’t like to read 250+ pages.
