Especially like the anchor alarm. I like that it now feeds AIS info into my Navionics Boating App

Loaded this app since the boat I am on doesn’t have a functioning AIS, and we are doing a night sail in Florida waters and was concerned about safe. It help with a near mis of a pleasure craft heading our way. Works great as long as you have cell service!!!! Maybe a next enhancement for the developers, a way to be functional when cell is not available. For costal it is a good lower cost option than a full transceiver AIS.

LOVE this app. I use it while sailing so friends and family can track my activity. We also used it on a circumnavigation to track our fleet. So easy to use and very stable and reliable. Can’t recommend it enough.

I used my Apple pw to purchase the app, but when I try to add charts, it requires my pw again (why?!) and rejects the same pew

Can’t get it to work on second IPad nor won’t let me pay for a second app and yearly service. I’m using IPads to navigate the Great Loop. Any ideas?

…it takes several tries before it comes back on. There is a bug with the app.

For the boater who wishes to stay in contact with others, this app is great.

Great app, good tool for those who keep their iPads close to the helm.

I bought this app before our club Fall 50 Mile race where we serve as Committee boat. I was able to monitor one of the boats and follow his progress throughout the race! I have AIS for commercial traffic but we are not a covered area on MAIS.

Dependent on Internet connection so some data is up to date and some is historical. Sure is better than no AIS and a big benefit in commercial ports. It is a great learning tool

This app is very cool for us boat nerds, who like to see who is around on the water.

Works great, have had boats hail us on 16 using our AIS info. Friends and family are able to track our progress, or lack there of....just be prepared to provide ability to charge your device while using.

This is a GREAT App, essentially a poor man's AIS. Particularly like the collision avoidance feature. I'll be interested to see its full range and whether it always maintains connectivity.

It really work and also has professional people that really worries when you re in trouble.

This app is well integrated with the nav apps of this provider, and provides email notifications that other appa require an annual subscription.

Great program. Shows boats anchored and moving around in Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors. Also use it on cruise ships to see who's around us.

I find this app very valuable to keep track of commercial ships coming in and out of Tampa Bay. Added benefit is that I can broadcast the location of our boat. Good for safety and connecting with friends.

I work on the river and use it daily . Can't believe the tech these days . It's a pocket AIS . Very good app for navigation on the water .

Used all the time. Now I don't like the update. Makes it difficult to see boats coming in etc

Everyone without AIS should have this app. Recently I has a small problem and Customer service was very responsive. We now have AIS, but I use BB to track friends who don't transmit on AIS. I wish everyone had it!

A great APP. Very reliable. Works very well on iPad and iPhone. Wonderful customer service. Questions are answered the same day. Highly recommend.

I was not receiving any Ship information in the Eastport Me area, I connected Boat Beacon and they resolved the problem, I am retired Coast Guard and enjoy tracking Ships, Thank You Boat Beacon (Steve) Ben C

I contacted the supplier with a problem. Response was within a day. Problem was fixed!!!!

This is a useful app. If you don’t have AIS budget, get this.

Navigation, plotting, MarineTraffic data, anchor alarms, man overboard alert, this unit does it all, love it on my iPhone and iPad, and very reasonably priced! I’m a believer!

I am always looking for freighters throwing huge wakes but now that I have boat beacon I have great visibility and information of them. Very happy for this app!

Boat Beacon can now overlay AIS data on top of Navionics Navigation app. That’s a game changer.

Works part time. It will just drop a boat off the screen when I know it's still there, because I am looking at it.
