Not enough adjustment option in the settings. So those options too simplistic. Also, there should be a trial period. I waited quite awhile before purchasing because I could not see if I liked how it was set up. But after weeks I took the chance on a purchase. No regrets except for the lack of ways to adjust settings.
Great app but definitely lacking the ability to sync bookmarks across devices. I’d love to be able to pick up right where I left off on my iPad / iPhone
I’ve used many different audiobook apps and this has stayed my go to. It is the only one that allows me to maintain a cloud library and easily load it onto my iPhone. Others give you a web server interface but that is often clunky, inconvenient and requires you to be on your own LAN. I use the OneDrive integration and it works flawlessly. I sincerely appreciate the app and its continued support.
This book player is usable by everyone. It is fully accessible to voice over users and others who have reading challenges. Transferring books to the player is simple. The player is reliable and has useful features like the ability to rewind and fast forward. It is four dollars very well spent.
I absolutely love the Bound app. It’s perfect for listening to my own audiobooks and I use it every single day. I did try to email the developer with a feature suggestion, but the email address on file seems to be invalid. My suggestion would be to add a search feature within the app so it’s easier to find titles when you have a large library stored.
Superior audio quality and other nice features. One-time purchase instead of subscription. Great for managing audiobook library.
Worth every penny. Grabs Dropbox files even if they are in the cloud and not on your device and downloads like lightning. Wish there were sorting options for the books but that’s a minor quibble.
I often download free BBC programs and use this app to manage and play them back. Would recommend! Update: It’s been years and I still love this app. Please allow export of audio from the app.
The web uploader solves getting individual MP3 audiobook files onto an iPhone more simply than I've ever managed it before. Even better, it organizes the files automatically under a single thumbnail. (Dozens of separate chapter files, one continuous audiobook.) The player also works flawlessly. Honestly, after only one day, I think it's the best app on my phone. Simply first rate. Can't rate it highly enough.
Great player but only loads the first 200 tracks on my books.
Love the books, listen to them all day
Its good when it works but about 50% of the time I try to use it it cuts out the book every few seconds so you hear a few seconds of the audio, then you don’t hear a few words. Resetting it doesn’t always work. Pretty frustrating when it happens.
I love this app; it allows me to listen and manage my large library of audiobooks. The only think I can think of that will make it better is if there were some widgets that allow me to control the books from my Home Screen, see listening stats, etc!
After multiple searches finally found this app through Reddit recommendation. App is very simple yet. Intuitive. Connects to most storage services, the best part is I can get it directly to detect my mp3 audiobooks files from iCloud Drive. Note to the developer please do not change to subscription model, and this app will continue to be best of the App Store.
Amazingly good DRM-Free audio book player. Highly recommended.
I do love this app and use it all the time for my audiobooks. It is an excellent app and I very much recommend it. The only thing that I would like to see is some sort of playlist or category management. I often am listening to several types of audiobooks -listening to what my kids are reading, listening to a fiction book on my own, listening to a non-fiction book. If I could create playlist or manage the organization in someway that it would be easy for me to I have a subset of books to look at
It’s a real pain to import downloaded audiobooks into the default Apple Books app, you have to plug your iPhone into your Mac and manually import them. Well not anymore. This beautiful little app default links to iCloud and downloading them is just one touch, voila. So worth the money. 10/10 would buy again.
If you have your own audio book library stored locally or in iCloud then this is the right app for you. Books import seamlessly with full tracks and artwork.
Just what we’re all looking for. This should be native to iOS. One time payment. Excellent work 👊🏼
I love this app. It makes it so easy to download audiobooks from my Google cloud. I love how it saves the place of my audiobooks as well. On to the feedback: I wish that there was a way to add a title to the bookmarks. This would help to take notes at certain sections of the book that you want to come back to instead of having to look through your bookmarks and guess based on the timestamp.
I’m disappointed to see that Google Drive support was removed. I tried loading audiobooks via the Files workaround as recommended, but it wouldn’t let me select m4b files to import. 5/5 stars otherwise.
Fantastic simple player. Great app
The developer claims Google wants to audit which will cost money but no other app has been effected or said similar. The work around no longer works so chapter support has been removed. .
Remember exactly where it stopped.
This is my favorite app for listening to my audiobooks. The only feature I would like to see added is a search function. It would be nice to be able to search through all my audiobooks instead of having to scroll through them to find which one I’m looking for.
The only change I would ask for is the ability to export an audio Best audio book reader
Ever since I moved from Android back to iOS I struggled to use the native Books app for audiobook management. Being able to bookmark key points in the book was the thing I missed most about Google Playbooks. Bound has finally given me a way to have all the features I want in an audiobook player AND support all of the various sources I’ve obtained audiobooks from throughout the years. Thank you so much for being a simple, useful, and well-integrated app! Well worth the price!!!
Great app nothing else to say
I’ve used (and hated) Apple Books forever. I kept trying alternatives but until Bound, none were very good. Bound is unbelievably easy to use. It’s also super easy and fast to add audiobooks. I can add from my PC, a USB stick, cloud storage and wherever I have them. If you have lots of audiobooks you already own, I highly recommend this app. Update: I took away 1 star because I found that, if a long audiobook has more than 200 mp3 segments, only the first 200 are downloaded to the app.
It spontaneously clears all my books, and crashes frequently. Usually I have to delete and redownload the app (and all my titles) to fix the issue.
I love this app so, so much. It has provided countless hours of enjoyment and I cannot thank the developer enough!
It does what it says and does it well.
Love this player - but my library is now using ID3v2.4 for downloaded MP3s, and Bound seems to get confused - it doesn’t get all the file parts sorted correctly. I have to use Mp3tag to downgrade the files to ID3v2.3 and that makes Bound work perfectly. If the developer could please update this app to support ID3v2.4 I’m sure there are other users besides myself that would appreciate it very much.
Look no further, this is the best app to play audiobooks on your iPhone. It’s smart UI somehow even manages to group multiple files from the same volume in a single file.
Does what it needs to and always works
I listen to books every night before bed. This app handled them nearly flawlessly. Love the extra feature of adding a new cover photo of my files didnt originally have one. Good sleep settings so I don’t fall asleep and miss to much story
I love this app. By far the best audio book player I’ve found. Worth the purchase. However in the most recent version it doesn’t seem to properly advance to the next chapter file. Once one chapter file ends stops playing even though the play pause indicator shows as playing. To get it to play the next chapter you have to select a different chapter file from the one that is supposedly playing and then go back. It didn’t do this before so something must be off…. Even with this inconvenience
This is easily the best audiobook app on iOS. The interface is simple and clean. Uploading files to the app is super simple with numerous options to add files. I personally always uses the web uploader and have no issues as long as I keep my phone awake while it transfers the files. The price of the app is very cheap and a one time purchase. Highly recommended for anyone who has a personal library of audiobooks.
Works seamlessly, is simple and intuitive and was so easy to dl all my books frm g drive 👍👍👍
I love the interface and it’s user friendly, but wish there were a few additions. For example, when you increase the narration speed I wish there was an updated time remaining. Also, a search bar would be helpful too.
Has worked flawlessly since the second I bought it. I rarely buy apps like these but I’d been having some issues with the previous app I was using and now I have no plans on looking back.
The best audiobook app I’ve found. Countless settings and features that will allow you to tame any audiobook or sound file in your collection.
So happy this app exists. It really is the perfect audiobook app.
This app is amazingly convenient to use and it has seamless integration with the Files app and Google Drive.
I didn't even know my audiobooks had chapters! Now I don't have to memorize my last locatios or write it down, and I can even add bookmarks
