40 Positive User Reviews for Box Breathe
Good app for Box Breathing. The price is right. Simple to use easy to understand. I use it every day. I really like it. Thanks.
Love this app, very simple and great watch app too. I just wish there was a way to store more than 5 presets.
I tried quite a few box breathing apps. This one has everything you need without a crazy price tag. Love that you can change the sounds and set timer for how many rounds or for time. You can try it out w free version first!
Box breathing is good, the app helps as a forcing function to ensure it gets done. Simple intuitive interface. Two functions I would like to see to make this a 5-star app: a cycle counter above the box to know how many reps have been completed, and having the default setting always be the last chosen preset (the preset selection process is lacking)
This is nice for working on box breathing. Good price and intuitive user interface.
A simple inexpensive app that allows me to do box breathing anywhere. My go to for breath work.
Great app, wish it offered fractional seconds for the durations though.
This app gave me exactly what I was looking for. Something very simple, clean design, with only the features I wanted. It is not full of tacked on, unnecessary things, simple, effective and perfect for my needs. Additionally a very reasonable price, I highly recommend and have shared with many friends.
I’ve always been frustrated that you can extend the mindfulness at past five minutes on the Apple Watch. I love the haptic feedback since it keeps me focused during mindfulness sessions. This app provides customizable haptic feedback associated with different sections of box breathing. However, the app stops working when my Apple Watch returns to its home screen after a minute or two and I can’t figure out how to get that to stop.
Does what I need it to do.
I added my desired presets, but there is no way to play the preset routine. There is no context menu. No way to select the preset routine. Allergic is to re-enter my routine every single time I want to do the routine. THIS IS A RIP OFF. IT DOES NOT WORKAS PROMISED.
Good app but I can not utilize the pre-sets I set up. My pre-sets are listed but not savable or functional
Atomic version
I like the simplicity but it crashes frequently after about 15 reps
Hi. Great app, but I can’t get the Apple Watch to only use haptics instead of audible ping. It is annoying to hear a bell in my watch every 4 seconds when I’m trying to focus. I have the setting correct on my iPhone, but the app is acting different on my watch. Can you provide feedback, thanks
Simple and well done
The app always works and has a simple easy to use lay Best part is the built in timer
I’m new to Box Breathing, but I know it works for me. This app is exactly what I wanted. simple and to the point. The vibration feature is clever. The whole thing is well thought out.
I’ve used this app daily for who knows how long
I’m taking flute lessons and one of the things I practice is breathing technique. My instructor recommended box breathing to do during the day to train my lungs in taking in air. I’ve only been doing it one day and I already feel my breathing control is going to definitely get better. It’s a very simple and intuitive interface. I love it.
Needs to be fixed to work on the watch ultra On the phone - I would allow.tonuse presets as I don't see how to use them now.
I like the simple settings, the sounds are pleasant, I continue to come back to this app after trying guide meditation apps. For me the voice instructions often take me out of the goal of calming the mind. I also like the ability to vary the length of breaths and time to meditate. Glad it records to Apple health.
I like this app. It is straight forward and easy to use. Something you need when you use an app on a routing basis. I like that you have the ability to customize the routine and that you can customize the sounds so that you don’t have to look at the app to do a routing. I have more than one box breathing app and I keep returning to this one.
Other box breathing apps give you a couple of variables to alter. But this one is so unfathomably customizable that you can not only create the exact lengths & durations, but also choose a different haptic and or sound for EACH of the 4-part breaths to begin! Sheesh!
Repeatedly interrupting with messages to rate the app.
Very simple to customize and use.
Very unstable. Sometimes sounds don’t work. Sometimes vibrations don’t work.
I love how you can configure the different patterns. I wish the UI was a little more friendly for the 5 shortcuts that you can save.
Hey Great app-do you plan to update it for the new compilations in the new I watch?
I like the simple settings, the sounds are pleasant, I would make 2 modifications: more cycles 30 would be great and a final signal for completed session
Hi Thanks for the iwatch support. Somehow it finally showed up on my watch. Looks great and works Thanks
With many cool features. I love how you can adjust the “box” seconds
Box breathing is a very useful technique. This is a great app with high level of customization. I reached out to the developer about an issue in Watch app not able to play all the sounds, hoping it gets fixed soon.
And responsive developer. But wait and hold need stronger tap so you can actually feel the change as currently the double taps are just too subtle. Update: Dev said he would work on trying to improve the taps. Can t ask for more than that.
I love this app! It does everything I wanted and more. It's particularly useful on the Apple Watch and the developer responded immediately to my email, when I had a question about using it.
5 Negative User Reviews for Box Breathe
This is a very simple, effective app for box breathing. On my watch, however, I have a major issue. Sometimes the watch app will work for as long as I want to do box breathing. Other times it just stops working after a minute or so and the watch returns to the clock screen. I have changed the “return to clock” setting on my Apple Watch to 1 hour but this seems to do nothing. I would like to reach out to support, but the support link in the App Store is broken.
Hey, I’ve edited my settings and nothing seems to make the sound work, neither bells nor metronome. Please fix! How do you play a preset???
The app crashes way too often.
Unfortunately the watch app doesn’t seem to work on a series 2 Apple Watch Ultra. I set it up for a 5 minutes session of breath work, but as soon as the screen dims on my watch (maybe 30 seconds in), the app stops running. So it’s impossible to do the exercise without constantly tapping the screen of the watch to keep the app awake.
The watch version doesn't work right or the instructions are not good.
