The idea is great but some bugs are preventing it from becoming greater - for example, signup doesn’t work at all and shows an error screen that says “database load error after signup”. So even though it didn’t sign me up it say it may have and to top it off there is a load error. Hope the developer will fix these soon. I have yet to check the app with many products by scanning which I’ll do over next few weeks.

Why is there only one campaign? There are so many ways a company can be unethical. Will the campaigns be expanded? 🤞

This app truly accomplished its purpose of telling you what items support/do not support Israel. You can quickly scan a barcode and get info within 3 seconds. I highly recommend installing!

Some say this app is only a gesture. Few people will it and fewer will act on what they find within it. I disagree. The economic interest that sway our government, often against our better interest act with impunity. This at least allows a level of transparency on the level of our basic purchases. Finally, cartoon cats have joined our ethical shopping! Daughter loves scanning barcodes and making sure our consumer choices don't lead to sad cats!! Easy to use, gets more features all the times it seems, and ADORABLE interface!

Arguably the cleanest UI in any scan app

The boycat app has become my go-to app for making wise purchases, which are humane and supports humanity. Its simplicity is its strength; with just a few taps. Five stars without a doubt!

Just enjoyed my first experience shopping in person with the boycat app. Happily surprised with the speed.

This App is pretty good for what it’s designed for, however I think it has a flaw in identifying if a product is viable for a boycott. For instance when you scan the barcode for an Oreo it will say that this product is eligible for the apartheid boycott, but when you scan a product that contains Oreos like the “Private Selection Cookies and Cream” ice cream it fails to flag this product despite the nutrient label stating that it contains Oreos. I think this would be very helpful fix for the move

Great app, but I have 2 comments concerning the zoomies section. Firstly, when you’re scrolling down the cafes, groceries, and restaurants nearby, the part showcasing it is so tiny, you can hardly see the name of the places, there must be an option to drag it up where you can read several places at a time. Lastly, I got Carrefour as a safe grocery option nearby, yet when I search for Carrefour in the “Discover” section, it’s displayed to me as a boycotted store.

SO happy to have this app. Whenever I'm shopping Iuse it and explain to people what it's about. Keep passing the word!!

I love this app. It made my life alot easier and guilt free. Its especially hard to know who to boycott since companies are buried under different names and its also equally hard to pinpoint exactly what makes them complicit to whatever horror your against. With this apl, you dont have to spend hours researching every time you need to buy something. The first thing I did after downloading it was to scan everything in my refrigerator and cabinets 😌 turned out I had two products that didnt belon

Worked fine the first few times but now the camera won’t focus on the barcodes! Other than this I love the app and I hope this issue can be resolved. Free Sudan, Free Congo, Free Palestine

This app is great and is seriously getting better every week. Would highly encourage anyone to give it a try.

i've been waiting for an app like this! while i have not had any issues with the app myself, i understand that it's currently still being worked on and added to! i love the new list feature, makes it so easy to just search for brands. wonderful app made by wonderful people!! this app is a must have!

I’ve been using this when going out to buy snacks. I really love how the app explains why each product/company is bad, as well as providing the source. I also like how you can find and suggest alternatives! My one suggestion would be to have a toggle where you can make the text a bit bigger. The text for products is a bit small, but still readable.

I know the basic brands that should be boycotted, however when I scan products under a brand that should be considered under boycott, it is considered safe by the app. I’m not sure if this you’re past a beginner.

A great app for a great cause! Unfortunately the scan feature is bugged for me. It doesn't focus on the bar code and is blurry no matter how still I hold my phone. I know it is the app and not my phone because my phone camera works fine, it is just the app that isn't scanning the bar code.
