BrushStroke helps me see various aspects of a photograph by giving them extra emphasis in its “paintings”. I see the possibilities and compare them to the image I’ve already formed in my mind. It helps me plan my painting; get a better sense of how to approach it. Not all of its choices are well suited to the subjects I select, but that gives me a better idea of what to select as my subject if I were to choose a different style for a painting and still use a photograph as my starting point. So,

I wanted artwork on my walls, and this is such a beautiful way to take photographs, and turn them into artwork, especially if you have pictures of landscapes.

I'm digging the app but plz add a saved feature when adjusting preset to our liking I hate having to write down all of the adjustments I do for the next project other then that the app rules

“Randomize” button/tab needed to take the optimal level of advantage of this great application. I just like to hit that “randomize” tab and see the real magic. I want to see the magic of this application. Please my fellow developers!!! Just to be clear: Randomize - Randomizes the effect on the image and produces a visually appealing image arts/artsy. This app enables me to take photographs that might have certain deficits or problems and turn them into fabulous paintings. And the options are endless. Thanks for making such a fun tool!

I love the fact that you can actually put a signature on your painting

Extremely easy to use.

I love this app. I wish there were some way to know which filters I used to create a given image, so that I could recreate the effect without going through all of them again, and guessing.

This is for anyone who ever felt powerless paying a so called artist to create your vision only to find yourself with less money and no realization of the vision. You don’t need to pay anyone. You are creative already, you were just lacking the tools for success. Do this, you will thank me later.

For years I have used a few "painting" programs and some were ok but they always needed to go into photoshop to be of any quality. NOT SO WITH Brushstroke. They deserve a lot of credit putting out a free version. I’ll be asking for the Pro version for Christmas! Great work programmers!

I’ve had this app for a day so far. It has effects that a lot of others don’t. It’s easy to use. It’s great for all ages. With such an inexpensive lifetime price….

This app gives me some great ideas for painting with acrylics. I can change the style and colors.

Easy to use and fun.

There’s no other app like this. I use it constantly and find it very easy to use. It’s also FREE and I purchased the add on for a one time small fee.. I would buy more once they create more…I hope they add more filters soon since I have memorized all the originals and added on the bundle. I would like a cubism filter and more abstracts.

Mostly free, gives a truly authentic paint look. And the add on pack is only a dollar and is totally worth it. Much better than the AI apps popular all of the sudden these days that don’t give good results. I’ve been using this app for a long time now and it’s great. Always gives good results.

You can’t rely draw it draws for you and it looks good

This app makes the most amazing artwork of your photos. I “lost” it for a while and couldn’t remember the name. I’m thrilled to find it again. The options seem endless. It really boosts a person’s creativity. Absolutely fantastic app!

If you love taking pictures but you lack a certain degree of “manual artistic expertise” this little app is simply fabulous. I even sprung a whole 99 cents for the extra Illustration pack. I use it everyday and love it.

Horrible app not worth a dime. Just don’t wait your money! It’s not a good app.

As an artist I find this app to be helpful when painting from reference pics. It gives me creative ideas and also helps in identifying and mixing paint colors.
