Buffalo News from WGRZ App Reviews

I really like the phone app but I have to watch commercials that are longer than the news clips. And, it’s the same commercial again, and again, and again…… I understand that advertisers underwrite the programs but the ad format on the app is just too much.

WGRZ is our family’s most watched television from morning to night.

It’s ridiculous already but it not only on 2 but 4 and 7 why are they targeting the news media to inundate us!!!

Southern tier here. We love to know what’s going on. Your weather team is spot on!! The best. One thing I don’t like is if there is a live update or the Governor is speaking, you click on it and have to listen to a commercial first, not hearing all of the speech. I know you have to pay the bills also though.

Also…I just received a weather bulletin about severe thunderstorm warning in my area of Southwest Florida…from WGRZ2. I got it before any of my local TV stations. Very impressive! Thanks, Channel 2!

I don’t live in Buffalo and haven’t for some time but I have many friends who are there and I visit several times a year. I really like keeping in the Buffalo know (not snow😉) and WGRZ is perfect at keeping me informed. The news people and sports reporters are terrific. They are on top of all the national stories but more of an interest to me is the local coverage which they shine at . I would recommend WGRZ to everyone especially people far away who still want to keep in Buffalo touch.

Sometimes it is hard to navigate and always have to watch commercial Before I get the story. Do not like that. It does provide quick access to breaking g news and ongoing news.

Easy to read the news by scrolling down. Tap to read full story. On many other apps, videos, ads take up entire screen. Cannot even read headlines. Impossible to close out.

Fantastic app. I have it downloaded on all my devices as well as Apple TV. Out of all the Buffalo News Apps this one is my favor. First of all I love the Good Morning etc greetings depending on the time of day. Secondly I love that you can watch replays of the news 7 days a week. Also enjoy the extra programming and Mass on Sunday at OLOV. I’m a Californian but have a ton of family in Buffalo so this WGRZ app really is stellar in keeping me current as well as simple to use. I cannot see new articles without force closing and reopening the app. And the push notifications that WGRZ bothers me with are super annoying. I do not need to be interrupted for inane “stories” like: * sport team won * three women are suing a spiritual retreat community because they were denied becoming mediums * politician scheduled a routine news conference * sports team lost * Sports coach is talking to the media * high school football game was cancelled * Sports coach is talking to

Great for watching ads for the true crime network on repeat with some news sprinkled in.
