AllStays Camp & RV: Camping App Reviews

The website is great for trip planning but the GPS is sketchy. The GPS looks like google maps but doesn’t work as well. On several occasions the GPS told me to exit the highway then get right back on. Then if you have a lane shift for a construction zone it will start alerting “route recalculation” over and over and over. It is too nerve racking for me so I just use google maps.

We have been using all stays for about four years now. Love it! All things camping are at your finger tips-repair services, LP, state, city, county, federal, independent campgrounds. we depend on it.

I have used the Allstays app for many years and love how one can enter filters to show just what one is looking for. The app is easy to use. I was a little disappointed that it could only be used on Apple devices, since I also have an android phone that I use in certain situations. I like being able to find sites and directions so easily. This program works as long as I have cell service . Normally that’s not an issue. I recommend it highly.

Truth be told, I love this app and have used it for years. However one of the cool things was the ability to hone in on localized weather. Now all you get is a national outlook. Big comedown.

Ive been using AllStays for over a year now and it by far has the most data and sites. It may look a little old school but I don’t mind. Will keep using !

So far it looks good but I just starting exploring with it. I owned a rv repair business for over 46 years and now I’m retired and going to travel around on and off. So I will see if your app will help me in my travels.

Loved the old interface without messages popping up. Have used this app for years. So helpful on the road or planning from home. Any way we could go back to the old ways.

Definitely the best RV app out there. I have had it installed on all my phones since 2012 and it never disappoints.

We use this all the time for traveling and love it but, I would like an option added for 55+ campgrounds. It takes forever to find them otherwise. I also don’t like how the app automatically zooms in and out. I want to do it myself. I loose my place when I’m looking in a certain area.

This is the most comprehensive, helpful app of all the campground apps, to my mind, including everything from high-end RV parks to primitive and dispersed camping. Highly recommended.

We would be literally wondering the wilderness, lost, without this app. So much useful camp and travel information. How would you describe it? Priceless.

We’ve used pro-membership over five years for both planning and when traveling. AllStays now posts so many stores, gas stations and other businesses on their maps it’s become virtually impossible to find actual campgrounds. The filter pull-down to limit to viewing campgrounds only, does not disappear & blocks a large part of screen. It seems deliberate and given we pay for membership, seems disrespectful. Think it’s time to look at other options.

Easy to use for fast navigation to rest stops, fuel, overnight camping and campgrounds of every type. Details about business’s features and contact information. Easy to post a review.

We have had this app for many many years. It’s the best app out there for finding campgrounds of all types, from national parks to independents to Elks lodges to- whatever you’re looking for. We also really like the feature that shows significant road grades, as well as low overpasses and bridges. I recommend this app to anyone I know who is starting out with a new trailer or RV. Simply the best.

Update: AllStays was very kind and helpful in their response and subsequent emails. I am happy to report I have the access I used to have due to being grandfathered in. I’m still sad that they charge, but very happy that I can use the app again. Thank you, AllStays! I used to love this app. We used it all the time. But then they started charging for everything. It’s too expensive. I deleted it. Sad.

Use this all the time when I wander. Weather link helps in planning. I don’t like RV parks and it helps avoid them. Like having info about an area, find a shower. I have other apps for fine details but lean on this one. Love how there is minimum data available in bad reception areas.

I use this app all the time when traveling. I’d like the ability to filter for whatever type of campsite or RV service I’m looking for. Well worth it.

Indispensable when traveling with our RV (van).

Excellent app that saves time and effort to locate a desirable campsite. It uses Apple Maps and has useful filters to pinpoint your preferences for a campground. Only complaint is the Apple Maps used for this app is very limited and does not show stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc.

All Stays is the first place I go to research our motorhome trips. I read the reviews first, then review the images. We’ve been motorhome traveling for over 20 years and ALLSTAYS is the best resource yet.

When traveling and we want to make an unplanned stop or find a new location this has been the one app we always go to. It is such an easy approach to use and the reviews are always accurate. This has kept us out of some pretty sketchy places. Totally worth the money.

Been RVing 5 years now, some trips 5 months long, and this is our go-to resource. Very important to read user reviews (current ones) to get the full picture of a particular campground. The other resources, like where to find propane, RV dealers/repair shops, diesel, etc. are also extremely helpful.

I have 5 apps I use for my camping needs. 80% of the time I use this app. The other 4 apps I MIGHT use 20% of the time. It was worth the 10 bucks!

The app needs to remember settings/filters between one session to the next

It’s just simply excellent

We use this app all the time for finding a place to camp, trip planning, making reservations, etc. The links to web sites to make reservations, ease of making a phone call, the info included for the camping areas are all first rate. Makes traveling w a camper and a dog very easy.

We are new RV owners and this app has been a huge help. Finding camp grounds and the reviews are great info to have. I especially appreciate the service, gas stations and clearance portions.

We’ve been using this for seven seasons of usually 5-months-long summer trips. Of the many we’ve tried, this is our “GO TO”. Comprehensive, easy to use, accurate & well-maintained. Also, the developer responds personally & promptly to my frequent questions. I still can’t imagine how he aggregates & updates ALL THIS DATA!! It’s the only camping app on my phone’s full home page.

We recently purchased an RV and this app helps us find great places to stay. We have used a number of times already and it has been a huge asset to our camping trips.

I have used this app since 2010 and it as bailed me out so many times. We used this app to travel to every state and Canada except Hawaii and when it got late in the season and camps were closing this helped us find those not closed yet. We used it just the other day to find a camp here in the Grand Teton area. We travel without reservations and have not ever camped in a wal mart parking lot.

Easy to use camping app! My 1st go to app! Better than RV Life, in my opinion because it’s easier to see different types of parks, locations for propane, rest stops and more! Each has it’s own icon to easily see type of park... I wasn’t sure about buying it. Now, glad I did because it’s my favorite!

We wouldn’t travel in our RV without it!

Bought the Pro version and can’t open on the app for my iPhone. I understand it’s a holiday weekend, but no follow up by customer service. Just want it working!!!

Good app for locating RV sites but lacking in mapping and route functions. There is also no mileage scale so you have no idea of distance between waypoints or highways.
