10 Positive User Reviews for Cardara!

Beautiful, enjoyable, buggy

Really cool game that I hope gets some updates soon. Many of the effects are broken. The ones that give you + or - depending on a direction don’t proc sometimes, but most often seem to proc in the opposite direction. Hourglass of duplicity on a vampiric mask? I never went above 20% steal despite hitting the mark five times in a row. These were the issues in my last run only. They’re near constant. Game could use a lot more testing, but it’s a good looking thing and enjoyable nonetheless.

Possible bug

I don’t know if it’s a card in game I’ve tried looking but doesn’t show anything but I’ve had it happen twice already on really really good runs. Where after a battle or out of no where my attack goes straight to one and after that can’t do anything about it. Run turns from a perfect side scroll run to absolutely unplayable run. Is it a bug or a card in game that does this? It’s happened twice so if it’s a card it’s a game ending run.

Love the concept - keep working on this 💚

The concept is great and the game is fun - especially to any drawn to the RPG and roguelike genres. Don’t listen to anyone being negative and give it a chance. The game needs a little polishing and hopefully it will continue to improve. 😼

Mostly awesome, 1 major flaw

I beat a king card and headed for the exit, but the exit was replaced due to an ongoing effect. Cool. I figured I’d just keep going ‘til I died. Unfortunately, I had gotten so powerful that the chaos couldn’t increase enough to generate a card that could kill me. I’m well over 1000 turns now, and can’t end the game without losing all my hard-earned winnings! This has become the game that never ends! Making the exit card immune to replacement/erasure would be a great way to fix this.

Game breaking bugs

I’ve been really enjoying the game but I’ve come across some massive run ruining softlocks. Any time that I kill a hydra head the game freezes and I’m not able to move or do anything but opening and closing the menu. The game also completely freezes if you manage to get the mechanical bird and swamp hoarder effects at the same time. These things are so easy to accidentally get, and if you ever close the game for any reason the run is lost and you get nothing from the journey, the other day this

Fun, except bugs

I have so much fun with this game, it’s laid back and no stress. However, there are bugs that freeze up the game. Nothing I can find fixes it and when you close out the game you lose the entire run. I am currently at a 342 turn game which is now frozen and it’s so upsetting I want to quit forever.

Cool Concept

The concept is cool. I appreciate the premium nature of it as I hope it’s being used to fund a new project from the studio, and to hire actual artists as most of the art is AI. The gameplay is perfect for a phone though. It a bit chaotic at times with very little thought put into actions. I’m interested in the future of this studio.

Lack of agency

Game feels entirely luck driven. You have run where you encounter nothing but monsters and die. Or you have a run where you get 99% Reduction and then run into a monster with 1000 HP and die. Random events that reverse cards and wording or change the colors of everything feel gimmicky and while I see the gameplay implications simply aren’t enjoyable and are more often than not frustrating and deflating while you wait for the timer to tick down and end. Things like increasing game speed and pov

No health…too many monsters. Always dead

Can we make this fair I spent 3 bucks and feel ripped off so far.

100% luck, 0% strategy

The only choice the player makes is which hidden random card to move to next. The game consists of mindlessly wandering around until I randomly run into an enemy that kills me, and there’s nothing could have done to improve that outcome. The concept has potential, but there needs to be some strategic basis for making decisions. A simple solution would be to reveal adjacent cards, with risk/reward for choosing more dangerous cards. Or indicate that certain goals are in certain directions. Anythin
