CCW – Concealed Carry 50 State App Reviews

The app is great and it is my immediate go to for law updates and when I travel. My only stiff is I am a NY state resident but more specifically NYC. As we all know NYC laws and permit restrictions etc are different from the rest of the state. I will there be an option in the near future to specifically show information pertaining to NYC? Otherwise I find that some of the information I’m shown for NY doesn’t necessarily align for my NYC permit specifically.

I have been looking for quite a while for a website that does what this app does. There are one or two, and none are both accurate and adequately designed. This app does everything I need. If the UI feels a little outdated I can only assume that’s because all of the effort is being put into the outstanding level of up to date information available in the app, and done so in the most usable way possible. Really well done app in every way that matters, I can’t say I want anything more. Gr

The app is well worth your investment. It is updated quickly and regularly, and the visuals quickly allow you to see your legal status. The ability to drill down and read the state code sections provides you with actual data and information about the state and any prohibited activities or areas.

It doesn’t get better than this!

The date field is not working under my carry states notes. First, the keyboard does not come up and secondly, even if you do a paste data is NOT retained.

We travel a lot in our RV to and through many states. I check the CCW app before every trip.

The information is well organized, up to date, and provided in the form of excerpts from the relevant statutes. Where enforcement has been enjoined, that information is provided as well. Highly recommended for anyone who carries in multiple states or while traveling.

This app makes it easy to find the up to date info I need to avoid making a legal mistake when traveling. The data layout and presentation is superior to the similar free apps provided by some CCW insurance companies.

As a young adult, I wish this app had more features, like being able to adjust the customized map for age. There is no way of telling the app my age to get an accurate map. I also wish there was an open carry map, because even if one can’t conceal carry in a state, that doesn’t mean they can’t open carry. I would also like to see that map adjusted for age. The app told me to send an email to the devs before leaving a review, but that functionality did not work for me.

This is a great app to keep up with all the latest laws in regards to CCW! I travel a lot and I’m really thankful for all of the great information and guidance that this app offers. This app tracks where your permit(s) have reciprocity and also shows you that info on a nice U.S. map. Found an error for State of Maryland. Maryland no longer allows open carry but the app says it does. Need to Update.

I’ve carried since 21 and moved 15 times in the military with multiple state CCWs. It’s a great app and accurate.

This App is a must have if you have CCW Permits. The App keeps you up to date with the state laws which you need when planning to travel from state to state.

I like this app very much. I just downloaded the most recent updates and I checked Michigan and it said Michigan doesn’t have a red flag laws which the governor just signed into law. Better check in on that.

I have not been able to find a more accurate and up to date application. This has been reliable and very helpful.

I travel into and through several states and each state has its special quirks. For instance if I stop at a rest stop in Oklahoma I can carry as long as I don’t enter any buildings. CCW gives me the opportunity to review the laws of each state before I enter it. Fantastic app.

This is a great app. It helps me where to carry a concealed carry permit and recognize. And it also tells you where you can conceal firearm in different state.

I-Phone: Love the app, but can’t input Anniversary date of permits therefore the reminder function doesn’t work

This APP and the way it is setup, updated and to the point on every state is a blessing to every gun owner. I check with it “every” time I travel…even in my own state. The information is laid out in the terms provided in the law with supplemental information added. There are no personal opinions or ways to go around the law which could put you in duress with law enforcement. Just download it. It is very informative and incredibly easy to use. I’ve been using it for many years now and it is worth every penny.

Unable to enter expiration in the section where it asked.

This has been the only decent ccw app forever. Years ago I paid $2 for 2 years. Now it’s $1 for one year. I don’t understand the negative reviews. There’s no ads. It’s constantly updated. Will continue to use and recommend this app.

The app works great. I’m very pleased with the easy of usage. I would recommend it to anyone for traveling with a CWP.

Maryland is now a shall issue state. Can this be updated? And is the reciprocity up to date. Some places show SC haven’t by reciprocity with MD.

It’s a solid app, very useful. My only issue is it was once a pay one time thing and after a few years it was switched to a subscription service. The fee is nominal enough, but it always bothered me and felt like a bait and switch.

This is the best CCW resource available. I have been using this CCW application for ten or more years and never found it lacking. The application updates automatically when it is opened, if updates are available which is frequent. I have recommended the application to many friends over the years. I am surprised at some of the negative reviews and think maybe they are competing companies wanting to put in a negative review for competitive purposes.
