It was awesome til they brought in ads just play normal chess it isnt worth the effort to play a puzzle a day

How about including the changes that actually happen with the app updates? Each update you just use the same exact copy and paste description, why not list the changes?

In one month I’ve gone from absolutely zero knowledge of Chess to being able to play a decent game (Albeit, at a beginners/intermediate level ) I can’t recommend Chess.com highly enough :)

Excellent game excellent product whether you take the free or the premium, you will not be disappointed my beautiful girl Oshyn has mastered this game due to the premium. I suggest you pay the money and become premium.

Every time I try to upgrade it says upgrade, not available

The game is really fun and helps you learn to play

When I’m playing some times when I click a piece and put it on a square it goes somewhere else so I lose that piece and it make me want to slam my nuts in a toaster

It is an OP app. Puzzle Rush is in it, and it upgrades monthly bots that are free!

Chess.com is the staple of all my days! When you are playing it, you’re having fun while using your brain! I recommend would recommend this app to everyone in the world if I could!

No lie, this app is very informative and interactive as far as learning and coaching how to play chess. Along with daily puzzles and lessons of such. If your wanting to learn or develop your chess game this is an all-in-one app in my opinion. Well worth the money!!

I love chess and my dad recently taught me. Ive wanted to play chess for sososo long and im finally able to do it! Its the only chess app ive found to be suitable for me. I love how it has lessons and tips too! Totally recommend, bye!!

Seriously? It can’t be this hard. I play lots of daily games, and it’s MISERABLE to wait hours or days for someone to make a forced move only for me to make the move I knew I was going to make the whole time. What is the deal? ALL the other major chess apps have it — GET. IT. DONE.

Smooth gameplay with a variety of computers to play against, lessons, puzzles, and multiplayer. One big problem, however, it crashes a lot! When I use the “Back” and “Forward” buttons to analyze my moves against the opponent in hopes of learning, the game just quits. Edit: these crashes have only occurred against the computer.

Really cool, played for years, 10/10, but since the new update I can’t open the app. This is very sad to me. 😭😭😭 Please fix it🥺

It’s a great app for learning the game of chess. I’ve improved a lot in my first week. I do have a few complaints though. The puzzles have no descriptions or goals listed. You never know what the actual goal is, it’s a guessing game. It’s frustrating as a new player to not even be told the context of the puzzle. Do I move in for check mate. Or make a series of moves to protect my king? You never know

Great for playing and learning. Sometimes the people aren’t so great when deal with cheats or ratings vultures. If someone makes a slip or honest mistake I always let it slide. I mean who hasn’t had a piece go to a square you didn’t click on?! Lol

Only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is because of the analysis section. I want to learn different paths and how to utilize certain openings but it’s very hard to learn this with the analysis mode. Other than that great app!

Not much to say besides this is THE BEST chess app.

I love Chess.com and have been playing for years. But when I downloaded it on my phone a while ago I couldn’t see the H file (If playing white or the A file if black). So, I can’t play normal online games. I can only see the whole board if I’m playing puzzles or against a computer. My friend has the app but he can see his whole board. I don’t know if this is just a problem for me or for other people too but if there’s a way to fix this then I’d rate the game five stars.

The subscription for diamond is worth it. 100 dollars that cover a whole year of chess lessons which can teach you tactics and when to trade and when not to year! You don’t have to get the subscription neither. You can learn off of experience when you are attacked or try something new when you attack. Overall great app.

I have learned so much about chess from this app and it makes me fill a tad smarter just from the stigmatism associated with the game. Sure, you can get more by paying, but I feel like I get enough for free and I’m totally addicted. Any bugs I’ve experienced are very very minor (from a programmer’s perspective) so if you want to learn chess, I definitely recommend.

It is a very good application

I have a Gold membership but when I exceed the puzzle limit it says I need to “go premium” and then offers to “upgrade” me to Gold, which I already have, but it says comes with unlimited puzzles. Google it and you find tons of people reporting the same problem on their forums but chess.com never responds. So they either have scammy marketing practices, poor customer service, or both.
