Fun to play and really helps educate on better moves. Love the crowd noises! Only feature I’d like to see is a description on why one move is better than another.
Great game. Poor customer support.
Play a lot and love it! Well designed game!
Nice game. It’s just a little hard to setup a position. However I enjoy playing.
I have owned this chess app for years and have zero complaints. I have been playing chess for 64 years.
Makes playing chess a fun project! Especially, at my age and declining mental sharpness!
Really enjoy playing against computer opponent and seeing the best moves. That said, I’d like to see more proactive coaching commentary about why the best moves are better than others, e.g., strategy, tactics and pros and cons of each move.
I have had this app for a decade. It continues to get updates to this day. It is the gold standard for on-device chess engines. I cannot recommend it enough. Try the free version, and you’ll see what I mean.
Lots of fun. Good way to build skills and comfort level.
The app will coach but allows me to develop at my own glacial pace. Must have!
Don’t hesitate. This is a marvelous chess app. I highly recommend it.
This is a great chess game that has great graphics and just about everything a chess player wants or needs. Many levels make this suitable for beginners as well as experienced club players. The only thing missing are 3D boards which makes the game look even better.
been using a free version for years (also very good by the way!), decided to support the developers - I really appreciate “no subscription”’ offline apps: can play in a plane. Overall very nice and solid chess app. From the cons, I am missing couple options: 1) a possibility to fully play another move from a key position to see how the play would develop and 2) indication of which would be a good/master move, e.g. system often tell “it was ok”, but what is the better alternative?
Best chess training app out there. Worth it, you only have to pay once.
Thanks for the awesome app!
Bravo! This app brings chess books to life.
I’m retired but decided to take up chess again. I have tried several of the chest apps and found that chess Pro was perfect for re-learning Chess. And you can set your opponents chess level at a reasonable level. That means you don’t have to play against Kasparov every time A major advantage, for me, is that you can play one opening over and over until you can get it right (at a high novice level- 850). It allows me too learn how to properly develop in the opening and make it there’s a middle ga
I purchased the Pro Edition. It’s so worth it. There are thousands of classical games that i can study. The interface is also very pretty and easy to navigate. The BEST!!
Awesome game 4 beginners👍🏻🎲❤️
My favorite chess game. I can customize it the way I want.
I was pleasantly surprised that you can play against Chess Tiger on an Apple Silicon Mac. Chess Pro will provide you with endless hours of fun playing against Chess Tiger, a legendary gambit-style chess engine. And in case you'd want to analyze your saved games using another program, or save them to a database, you can find the PGN file(s) in ~/Library/Containers/Chess\ Pro/Data/Documents/My\ games.pgn. Merci Monsieur Theron!
I have tried many and this one is the best so far.
Mejora el nivel con las ayudas asistidas!!!. Lo mejor
I had downloaded this app for my kids to learn how to play chess and for them to practice in moving the pieces. It’s such an awesome app I really enjoy playing this even to pass the time at work sometimes or just relaxing at home. It’s the best for anyone to get better at the game of chess young or old I just love it. It’s even really good for exercising your brain or just to put it to the test you might say.
Like the title says, I love this game and there are probably no problems at all with this game. I am an "Experienced" player and I can't wait to get to the next level, I hope I have the effort to. This is a great game to play if you need to pass time because it can be used anytime, anywhere. I love this game and it is so worth the money.
Just the best chess game Love it 🤑
Helps a lot with practicing moves and the grandmaster games come in handy.
Overall I like this chess app for training and for looking through classic games. There are some basic features that seem to be strangely too limited. For example there are too few options to stylize the board appearance. Also the function to send feedback does not function. It actually freezes the app and requires to force close it.
Great App. I use it everyday. Has improved my game.
Helps me put in my games after
I played this chess game, and I conclude this game is beneficial for learning and bettering your position in understanding how to think at an advanced level. It helps the player search for multiple candidate moves instead of on track minded move. The arrows make the player understand how to spot different variations..
Please add search function when loading a game so if your looking for certain player you are able to get only their games. Please add a more complete database. I often have to leave the app to go other apps with better player databases. I prefer this app but it needs to be updated with more games.
Please provide the application with the feature of analyzing matches and in depth to benefit from it more in knowing mistakes and the best moves, meaning that I can paste the match and analyze it completely from the first move to the last move.
I play often, and I build on my knowledge and experience each time.
It’s just like chess
Please, anyone! Check the game #345 in the “Grandmaster Games/miniatures”. Very strange game. Do yo have the same? [Event "EuYCh B18"] [Site "Peniscola ESP"] [Date "2002.10.03"] [Round "5"] [White "Mamedyarov, Shakhriyaz"] [Black "Cornette, Matthieu"] [Result "1-0"] 1. d4 d5 2. g4 c6 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Nc3 a6 5. g5 Nbd7 6. Bf4 Nh5 7. Bd2 Nhf6 8. Bf4 Nh5 9. e3 Nxf4 10. exf4 b6 11. b4 g6 1-0 And there are a lot of such “bugs”.
Yeah it can help if u r a bit stupid like me;-)))) Good guide
The FAQ says you can load PGN files with iTunes. This is woefully out of date and doesn’t work anymore. The only way to get pgns into the app is copy and paste from email.
Great fun! Very patient!
