Way better than Google maps, as a born and raised New Yorker this is the only transit app I use in nyc and also it works perfectly in Paris and London!!!
This app takes over audio whenever I open it. No way I’d like to listen to music while riding transit. Thanks
Love this as out of town we!
Used to love using this on my Apple Watch to quickly check metro and bus times but now it will no longer work even after a reinstall… would give 5 stars if fixed.
The title says it all. [Comment no longer applies.] UPDATE: After recent developer updates, it’s working again. In fact, batter than before it stopped working (for the past year had to restart the watch app to get an arrival time refresh but refreshes occur automatically once again).
Accurate, reliable and the best app for public transportation! From London buses to New York subways to Sydney ferries - you'll get estimates for travel times and fares. Thanks!
The title essentially sums it up but I struggle heavily with navigation especially in cities and this app has been it significantly easier to get where I need to go. It seriously has saved me so much money and panic time.
Best of the best apps when I am traveling to big cities if I didn’t have it would be so lost
Great so far?
If you have an iPhone, you basically need 3 map apps. Apple Maps for driving, Google Maps for finding things, and CityMapper for public transit. There is so much available information/conveniences (what car to ride, realtime delay info, convenient PDF maps that pop up when you’re underground/offline, etc etc.) … And it’s FREE. Get this app.
To whoever created this app, THANK YOU!!! This is more effective and useful than any other app I have put to use.
This app is a lifesaver! I come from a very rural area and am not used to traveling by metro much. Planned my first trip by metro that would involve multiple transfers and would be traveling alone and was super nervous, but thanks to this app I made it through! Plans out every step of the way (including what platform you need to be on - so helpful!) and updates for accurate train times and reroutes you to avoid delays. Absolutely made this trip possible and stress free for me, cannot recommend e
Saved my life a couple times now :)
Greatest app in NYC for all transportation means.
I use this app daily, living in NYC. Recently, the app has increasingly been wrong on location- it cannot accurately track where I am for several minutes after regaining data on the train. Because of that, my options are often not up to date. I hope this improves again.
Its really helped me to walk in italy hope if all ppl use it
First time in the UK and vowed not to ask anyone for directions… This beast right here made my life sooo easy… Thank you City Mapper…
I love this app y'all got stock?
I recently went to London for a vacation, and saw this app on almost every video on a channel called Love and London. I can confidently say that this app, by far, is the best app for traveling ANYWHERE. Not only is it easy to understand, it shows you the least expensive and fastest way to get where you need to go, and it’s accurate with how long it takes to get to your destination. I never write reviews for apps. Ever. But this app is well worth it, and I’ll be happily using it wherever I go!
Hello, I’m in Brooklyn and have both the express bus and local here, but i don’t take the express due to cost. The express shows as the majority of the option and then I can’t see options for what I want. Please add an option to remove or select only certain lines. Setting a preference is also a good alternative.
Great app I’ve been using it forever and it never fails me
Not great for cycling and mixed modes in lots of cities. Eg for cycling, can't handle roundabouts for voice navigation. Will tell you to repeatedly take rights instead of like g maps saying (take third left onto X st). Also switches between ft and miles indications for continuing on pathm just stick to 0.1 mi increments. And there isn't consistency in how frequent navigational alerts are given. Provide a "confidence" alert with updated eta or time to destination every 0.5 mi.
I just hope there will be a dark mode but THATS IT
I could not have imagined navigating Paris without Citymapper! It will always be installed on my phone. One complaint or feature request, while in the metro the app would lose track of me (not surprisingly) but as I moved from station to station the app would jump back to my last known location. I would like to override it and tell it I'm now on this new leg. The jumping back was very annoying. Thank you!!!
Used it in Cardiff, London, Paris and Honolulu. My go-to app when in a city
Helps a lot with transportation to countries that you have never been to, and is able to guide you to wherever you may have to go. Best transportation app.
I tried this map for London. This was very helpful and realtime . Thanks Citymapper.
I downloaded this app to direct us around Chicago. It was perfect! I could put in the address or just name of where we were headed. It really was so easy to use and we never got lost walking the city! Thanks
One of the best transportation apps out there. I’ve used this in New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and my hometown, Salt Lake City. Yes, Google Maps and Apple Maps can do the same thing but the interface on Citymapper is so much better. It gives you an in-depth overview of your transportation route.
Efficient and on time schedules! Very Helpful for first time visitor from Philippines now NYC resident!
In the beginning all was great now notice end of routes are wrong and timing of buses off.
This app used to be the best, with its clean look and simple and easy ux. Now it’s just bloated and laggy.
I have been using this app over 2 years and paid for premium service. The recent update shows inaccurate bus schedule. It says service not available, but it is. I use OneBusAway which is more accurate.
I really want to use this app. The problem is that they have not added my city. I have suggested it countless times without any result. Please 🙏 add Sofia, Bulgaria.
this app is a God-send, as I was a first time traveler in New York.. tells you exactly where to go and how to get there
Great app! Would recommend!
No idea how to navigate and this thing made my life incredibly easy
Better then my mta app and accurate enough unlik the #MYMTA
I would give it five stars if there was a way to incorporate more walking options into the travel recommendations. Or perhaps an option to replace a connecting subway ride with a walk. Just a thought.
This app performed flawlessly, even giving options on a day the Tube was closed due to strikes. Simple and clear directions on what train and direction made taking the Tube as easy as a local. Game changer for travel in large cities with multiple options.
the bus timing is a little off sometimes, but the live stop location when using public transit is perfect
In recent weeks when using the app. I have noticed that whenever I type in my destination it will not show up “at all”. I literally have to go to the “Google Maps” app and search the address and copy and paste. And sometimes even when I do this, it still won't show up. This has never happened. It's always worked without any issues in the past. Not sure if this is a bug in the app but please fix this issue.
Battery drainage needs improved. Need an option for handicap accessible routes for wheelchairs & strollers. Other than that, it’s pretty good!
Picks up locations and auto fills much faster than MTA app; easy-to-follow maps and directions
