Good-But could be Better

Add a score or level tracker, please. Then I know how many games I’ve played.

Hint

Shouldn’t there be at least two available hints to help you sell these?

No way back

If you get stumped, there is no way to get a new puzzle. You have to completely close out the app.

Love

Can be hard but very fun

Fun game but too many ads

This is a lot of fun but every time I solve a puzzle I have to watch an ad to move into the next puzzle.

Incorrect Spelling

‘Pasty’ when you mean ‘Pastry’…maybe not a big deal in day to day life…but when your ENTIRE purpose is connecting like-to-like words, you really need to get that down, bro. Watch China kill me within the month for this review.

Addicting and amazing!

So I found this game thanks to a YouTuber I follow. When I saw him playing the New York Times version, I thought maybe there was an app. I am so glad there is, because while it is challenging, it is a blast to play. I do get frustrated sometimes when I cannot figure out a certain category, but I always then just leave the app and come back to it later one to try again.

Really like the practice

I would have given the app more stars but I do not like all the ads that I have to deal with after each game. There is no option to pay for ad free.

Clues

There should be clues or the final answer should be given

Good

It’s fun and tough to guess the answers

Great game, but….

I love this challenging mind game. However, I wish I could see how many games I’ve played and I wish there was an option to get rid of the ads.

Great challenge!

I really enjoy this game. I can usually figure out two rounds, then I sit and scratch my head for the next two!

It’s okay

The only reason I use this is because the better version is unavailable to me for some reason. I think there should be less adds but there is a way to get around that by turning off your internet and data; but others than that it is pretty worth it to download

6 Negative User Reviews for Connections

Trojan horse

This is basically a fake app designed to trojan horse ad delivery. Really long unskippable ads after nearly every level, no paid version, and the puzzles are very repetitive. Could be fun if there was a way to go ad free and there were more variations.

Random categories can make it frustrating

My first game had both “Wee” and “Small” as categories, included two sets of duplicate words. The only way to complete the game was to guess. If you need your connections fix and you don’t want to pay the New York Times this one will have to do, butit made me appreciate the care and thoughtfulness of the categories of the real Connections game from NYT.

Connections

It’s too easy!

The game works, and that’s about it.

If you want to play connections, great. But this app is not the way to do it. It repeats connections and words multiple times while playing, so each set of words doesn’t feel distinct. Since you can get the same connections in a row, you end up remembering those connections more than trying to find new ones. It doesn’t have the same satisfaction and the NYT game, because there isn’t as much challenge between the levels, so there ends up being a disconnect. That said, there are some interest

Slick UI, but disappointing content

On my second game I had one set of words repeated from game one, and two sets of words involving fish…. Although one of them didn’t seem to actually be fish…. Very bizarre.

Too many ads

Ads pop up after most rounds and they are typically looooong ones.
