Great App, Thank You

I don't want to upgrade to Cryptomater 2, it forces me to download my files to unencrypted folders. I don't want my stuff visible to Apple, I want it to stay encrypted. Otherwise it will just defeat the purpose. I will even pay for full encryption a second time as long as I don't have to expose my documents to Apple.

This application is essential to anyone looking for complete control of their privacy when backing up to a cloud service. The files integration is excellent. The only two downsides are no thumbnail previews unless you download a file which takes up local storage. The cache has to be cleared manually (should probably include an expiration system).

And it’s open source and free - happy to have donated

It would be nice if it could access removable drives.

Clean user interface and quick synchronization across my devices. I would still like to see an option to compress folders into zip files and share them via email, rather than having to share all files individually

Simple app with well chosen design principles. And it's even open source.

This app is amazing, I love it. I had been using “ai don’t have anything to hide” excuse for way too long. This makes it easier to take my privacy back.

Great app works far. Works cross platform. Would like the ability on ios to swipe left and right thru folders that have photos for viewing.

Cons: 1. Editing functionality, minimum text files but word, excel will be great too. 2. Improve search to: search sub folders and content. Pros: everything else. I’m glad I can now move away from axcrypt.

The best easy to use file encryption app for Apple devices hands down. Simple to use and syncs across devices.

Suddenly stopped working on iPad and iPhone. App opens ok but exists suddenly when opening a google drive folder. I’ve tried logging off/on to no avail...

Works great except can’t launch from iOS Files app. Also would like to see 1Password integration into unlock vault screen. Plenty of apps allow single click to get passwords from 1Password

This should be standard for anyone serious about encryption. Easy to use. Easy to set up. I love this app!

Nice app and straight forward interfaces. Like how easy it is to hook up to google drive and the Touch ID login is a definite bonus. Hopefully other cloud drive option like sync.com will be made available in the near future.

it is able to read txt, pdf, and csv files in a vault, created on desktop. However, it does not support editing files directly in the app. Its better to do editing on desktop.

The apps does what it does well. Read the instructions to get iCloud Drive working. It takes a bit more work than the other services.

Now that iOS 13 supports external storage, what about creating/accessing vaults on external storage?

The new version with 2FA integration with iOS is amazing. You should get this and pay/donate to the project on your desktop as well. This is that good.

After unlocking, hope to add a function. When viewing pictures, you can slide left and right to view the pictures before and after. Also hope to add a picture thumbnail function, which is very useful when there are many pictures.

Great! I got a little confused during the set up, but their website has plenty of support if you run into problems. This is a must have app if you have a lot of data in the cloud. Absolutely fantastic!

Would love to have an offline sync feature. The caching is nice, but the data is still inaccessible without an internet connection Other than that, the app works great!

Needs a thumbnail view instead of just a list view. It also needs the ability to swipe through photos.

Just be great to be able to rename / move the folder to a more hidden place. As of now it screams this is where all my hidden stuff is. Other then that this app is the best thing I have found and worth every penny

Flawless, open source. Secure...and easy to set up and use.

At the moment, I can’t use this for PDFs that I need to annotate with the Apple Pencil. This is a feature that would add a lot of value to the app for me.

Really liked the simple solution that works for any cloud storage. Have been searching for this kind solution which works across all platforms and devices. Finally found one. Though price is on higher side but apparently worth it.

Last update was months ago. What happened?

I used to use Keypass and Boxcryptor and they worked OK. But when I landed on Cryptomator I was sold (actually free). Easy to use, works with cloud storage and runs flawlessly on all my devices... Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android.
