Daily Mail: Breaking News App Reviews

I love and trust Daily Mail’s news updates.

I have an older iPad and since upgrading the iOS to 17 the app drains the battery noticeably faster and it often freezes during the ads. I regularly delete and reload, which seems to help for a while. Generally, I like the app and it’s easy to personalize.

I used to be able to pay extra and get ads. That option isn’t there anymore.

Like a marriage, good with some sour overtones. I’m viewing DM on an iPad. Loading is slow, perhaps due to DM using those gigantic pictures in their articles. Often when I go to comments it is difficult to return to the article; I need to delete DM and reload. Content is good and for the most part balanced, although lately, seems to getting a little heavy on celebrities.

Not really that interest in their threesomes.

In the past few weeks all the ad videos seem to be on auto play Its frustrating, so I end up quitting the app and going to another new source

Your new even more invasive and annoying advertising shuts my music and takes over with video ads now. What? Hard pass. I have better News sources that aren’t so invasive.

Over the past 1-2 weeks I have noticed a sudden change in reporting. A lot of the focus is now on gossip and insignificant articles. The news used to be more focused on serious issues. Disappointing!!

I used to praise DM. However, now they seem to target the not so savvy, that’s disappointing and offensive. Almost every article’s title is click bait. That seems to be very juvenile. “You wouldn’t believe”….thats nonsense and seems to gimmicky to do for every article. My 2 cents, as a reader for years.

Daily Mail used to be my daily news brief. However, the new video additions and other changes have made it difficult to navigate. Sometimes it won’t scroll down, it freezes, videos play spontaneously, the thumbnails refresh back to the topmost stories nearly every time. The editing on the stories is poor as well, with misspelled words and incomplete sentences and such. I know that has nothing to do with the app though. Please fix this app.
