I put this widget in place of my social media apps to take breaks from scrolling. I always go down a history rabbit hole after reading about one piece of art, it’s so much more fun learning new things!
Been looking for something like this for ages. Great resource with thorough catalog of “classic” art history. Only critique would be, add more postmodern and contemporary art!
Learn a little too
Thank you for keeping this app delivering the art without having to pay to see it.
This app is lovely- one notification I don’t mind getting!
I’ve used this app for years, since they started. I’ve enjoyed every painting they’re send my way. It’s a great way to learn about art and art history.
What more can you ask for?
How nice to receive daily doses of art history, and to learn about world-famous artists and their paths to greatness.
Don't know a great deal about art but I've been enjoying this and learning something about art. Fun. One major improvement needed though: the ability to jump to a specific date would GREATLY increase the value of this application. As it currently is, all the "old" writeups are basically inaccessible unless you want to do potentially hundreds of screen swipes. Please add this feature!
I just love art
DailyArt is a simple and sophisticated way to start your day.
I love the feeling I get when I take a break and look at images ( not on insta!) and to have insight and history to absorb with it- life changing!
I have learned so much and been exposed to so much art I never would have seen otherwise.
Though I Failed to draw or to paint like my expert mother but I am contented with the feeling of beauty of the daliy paintings and your comments which made melive the artist life . You.
I enjoy the daily visual surprise.
I really like the concept of this, everyday they show an art piece which is sometimes really nice but other days boring which is just a matter of preference and not a critique itself. However I do have a couple issues: •I don’t like how we are unable to like and favorite art without paying for a subscription? Seems callous to force a subscription for such a basic function. •when you’re trying to read about the piece the interface removes the painting / art piece shown. I prefer to read the text
The info may or may not be ultra valuable, but it’s still great for what it is.
It’s my new happy place, and I’m learning a lot.
I’ve enjoyed this app from the very first day I started using it 10 years ago. If you have the slightest interest in art, you’ll enjoy what this app offers.
Brightens my day
Receiving this daily email at 5 PM has this effect. I stop working.
If Daily Art only showed new pictures every day that would be enough. But in addition it explores the talent of excellent but often overlooked artists while shedding light on the art of their time. The entries are inspired by Wikipedia and the best way to use the app is to skim read the blurb and then move on to the Wikipedia entry about the artist.
Scratches the itch for fine art everyday
Good mix of painters
I’ve always been interested in art and dabble around, but in no way am I an expert. However, as well as my enjoyment of watercolor, especially, I have traveled a great deal and have visited many of the most wonderful art museums in the world. However, I find myself learning new things every day with DailyArt.
I hope my review does not make this app inaccessible to me or other due to its popularity since that is part of the charm however i come here yo find inspiration and learn from previous works. Even if i gave it 5 stars there is always room for improvement and my only caveat is that there isn't a separate section for current works and just as much data as historical works.
Love the variety and explanations
Daily Art is my morning breakfast read. It begins the day with a wonderful inspection from the art world…some would turn to daily news, but I will always choose to turn to my Daily muse.
I grabbed this app after enjoying the Van Gogh Live exhibit and had never really enjoyed art before. This is one of the first apps I open in the morning now. I really enjoy the curated art and especially enjoy learning the background of the pieces. Absolutely worth every single penny!
cc0 The BY FAR VERY BEST free app of this decade is DAILY ART! ALL not 5* comments are 100% for SURE fake or from the unprofessional staff from other apps! Best wishes to the in mayor female team of DailyArt from Los Angeles, California, USA! cc0
I’m an artist and enjoy learning about art and art history, different styles, mythology and architecture which are so intertwined with art. DailyArt offers an image and a couple paragraphs of information about a new piece every day with links to other themes and to longer articles on their website to delve deeper. It’s a great way to wake up with my morning coffee or a little unwind time at the end of the day. A cup - enough depth to learn something & enjoy, and options for a bigger serving when
Every day, I open The Daily Art app and take a trip to a museum, which reminds me the art world is closer than I expect. It’s a great way to explore new artists from places I have yet to visit and also revisit some favorite museums. It’s amazing how many pieces are available in digital form.
If you love art you will love this app! I love being able to see so much art at my fingertips. I’d like to see more contemporary artists.
I have had this app for years and I love it. So much thought out into the selections and descriptions. Keep up the great work!
Just love this app. Everyday a new art work. Such joy!
I really love to see their art to get inspired everyday! Thank u
This is one of the best, most fun, and most educational apps you could ever use. Simple as that!
I love the bio for each piece, plus mediums/techniques used. The cherry on top is being able to search for accredited art museums, will be using this for years to come. Good to see an old app still so heavily appreciated
I really enjoy the daily dose of beautiful and thought-provoking art. I learn more about art, meet artists I’ve never known and appreciate images I’ve never seen.
I love this app, it has art from all over the world and throughout time. I am inspired by the work and appreciate the skill of each artist. I learn fro this app both by reading the description next to the art or by clicking the link to more in-depth articles. Viewing the art gives me a little peace from a busy day.
What’s the matter? Why whenever I open the app it doesn’t show me the art and shows “something went wrong” 😑😞
You know what it is
Would be great to see the art movement the piece is part of!
I’m not an art historian. I love this app. The descriptions are sweet, layout is great, and the quality of the art is wonderful. I use the widget so my phone homepage is decorated with new art every day. Extra bonus: it’s exciting go to museums and actually recognize artists!

I have used this app for over a decade. A year ago, a 5 star rating was warranted. Today as I browsed through the last week of art, Temu engulfed the screen several times. Instead of a relaxing, enlightening experience…my frustration made me question whether this app is worth my time.
