6 Negative User Reviews for DC Metro and Bus

Too many ads!

When you need this app to respond in a rush this is not the app for you! Every step pops up an ad that if you tap wrong (say with one hand that doesn’t tap accurately) or quickly it takes you away from the app and the information you are seeking/needing. This makes the app more frustrating & much less friendly than it was before.

Wtf

You is it ads on the app so annoying please remove them I’m trying look at my train arrival and it takes me through two minutes of ads

Too many ads

It should not require me looking at 7 ads to find one train line schedule

Poor execution

The free version blocks access to the app. You have to close the app and start over a few times till you get a screen you can bypass.

I feel like I’m in the early 2000s

If I were reviewing this app in 2005, maybe even 2010 I would probably have given it five stars however, in 2024 this is a very outdated application. The interface is clumsy, the colors are outdated, and the functionality is behind the times. I know Metro is dealing with some financial challenges but I hope once those clear, their technology team gets with the times and updates this to a more modern look and functionality.

Messy UI/UX

The interface is too messy for an app that is more accurate than Google/Apple maps. You all really need to work on a free version of this app that doesn’t resemble UX experiences of NSFW websites where any wrong click could lead to a virus on your phone or tablet. One should also be able to to pay one time for use of the app not monthly/annually, as accurate timetables for PUBLIC TRANSIT are a matter of people getting to important places on time, not a matter of convenience or luxury.
