Showing “now saving” then crashing

The game itself is super good Showing the innovation of apple of launching AAA games to iPhone improving apple gaming but in the game sometimes when i make a lot of progress and the progress is about to end the game shows “now saving” for like 50 seconds or 1 minute then the game crashes which frustrates me a lot because there are some hard missions too which is very difficult to do. When the game crashes it drives me to the very start of the progress.

iPad needs update

It runs well on iPad but the visuals are blurry and M4 and M5 iPads will runs this at higher settings but there’s no options? Needs to be patched as latest games like resident evil and call of duty have these options in game.

Save bug needs fixing

Auto-save (and sometimes manual save) still gets stuck, meaning you need to kill and restart the game every time it happens. Gets worse as the game moves on. Started playing today a half hour ago and took a break after my fourth reset to write this review.

I LOVE IT

Played this game on PS5 and loved it. But honestly, this game feels like it was designed to be played anywhere at anytime. I am close to level 300 on the phone because I can play it at anytime. The social aspect of building and creating things that could help others feels better when I play from my phone. I really hope they port Death Stranding 2 sometime in the near future. Will pay whatever it costs because playing this on the phone has solidified it as one of my favorite games of all time. Pl

Needs actual controller support

Hands down great game, but you really need an actual controller to play this, unless you want to try to play through a screen full of buttons. Luckily I have a controller, but the game loses connection with it whenever there is a cut scene, which is frequent. I have checked everything and it is not my phone losing connection to the controller. The problem lies with the game.

Downloading this was a nightmare

M1 Mac Mini, Base Spec The game runs fine but downloading it was horrible on MacOS 26, on MacOS 15 it downloaded fine, and it could’ve been my storage, but I did have over 100gb free for the game to download, so I had to factory reset my Mac to download it properly, afterwards I was able to download it and play it and I had no issues after that.

Near perfect score for a reason

Maybe the Mac store works differently from iOS, but iOS app store software updates depending on the developer does seem to provide delta updates so we can avoid downloading the whole package file again. I can't deal with another update asking for space that doesn't exist on my 512 drive. I will have to delete the game and cross my fingers that was good enough to start it over again. Please see if you can get around this on future updates. Thanks! Otherwise, great game. I started it on my iP

I tried to be patient.

This port was done very badly, the frame rate drops badly when on your bike but thats what you do for more than half the game. I thought they would fix the issues but still remains almost unplayable in this state. Save your money and buy it on console.

Excellent

Great game thank you for Porto g this AAA game to the MAC. It runs awesome in the M3 Max 120fps. I was getting around 70fps in the M1 Pro.

Runs great on my M1 and looks fabulous

I was hoping that this would someday be released on Mac and I was excited to see and play it as I had only heard about it before. I understand that everyone's system is different but the only bug I experienced was having to restart my mouse when switching back and forth from my PS controller. (combat is much easier with the mouse, but almost nothing else is) Kudos to all involved and would love to see more like this.

increadible job

kojima cooked this really hard i see it was the most immersive game i've ever tried

RUMBLE SUPPORT PLEASE!!!!

CAN YOU PLEASE PUT RUMBLE SUPPORT IN THE GAME? It’s on PlayStation! Why isn’t it here! Rumble is part of the experience!

Fabulous immersive game

Runs perfectly, seamlessly can transition between saves on my desktop and on my iPad. Beautiful and immersive game with fascinating gameplay. So glad I found this game. More like this please. EDIT: Since a few weeks back, the game has been unplayable on my Mac Studio. Within minutes of starting to play the game will crash and my computer will reboot. Still works fantastic on my iPad but I can't figure out my Mac Studio. Should I do a re-install?!? So it's a 5 on my iPad where it works f

4 Negative User Reviews for Death Stranding Director's Cut

Always crashes

The game is great, but it is barely playable because of bugs. Sometimes save files isn’t available till I restart the game. It also crashes every 30 minutes. There are another problems too, for instance text is very small and in barely visible on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Don’t recommend if you want to play it on iOS devices.

Mal optimisacion

Este juego esta mal optimizado algunas partidas en ciertas misiones no se guardan o quedan cargando y el juego aveces ni entra se queda trabado y lo ando jugando en un iphone 17💀

Game performance iphone16 pro

Game crashes a lot due to saving issue. Despite clearing a lot of memory on my phone and having the latest IOS update it continues to crash due to saving. Saving icon will continue to spin and cause the game to crash. And that after clearing all apps and restarting the phone as well.

Not optimized for mobile.

First off the download screen misleads you. The big blue “ok” button is not touchable. The strange on screen controls have to be used in order to start the download. Once you are in game, controller is the way to go unless you have double jointed fingers. If you’ve played this game you know the triggers are used a lot. I cannot contort my fingers to properly play this with on screen controls. Also the text is so small I can barely see it on iPhone 15 pro max. Just a bad port imo. Too bad since t
