This is a really great app for shear and moment diagrams. Very intuitive, fabulous interface! Tried using a similar applications on the web and this beats it hands down, glad I spent the money. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. One recommendation would be to have moment in in-lb not just ft-lbs. Again great app, a winner!!!

First off great application, but I really hoped since it is a 5 dollar application for it to include hinges. Please add hinges it would help me a lot and isn't this hard for professionals like you. Second can you please let us set the pointer where we want in order to see the moment or deflection value, not only slide it since it is not very accurate with the slider! Much thanks

I have really enjoyed using this very nice beam calculator. I've tried several and this is, by far, the most elegant interface. I love the presentation of the diagrams and how quickly you can modify the situations. One constructive comment would be to add an option to use a custom rectangular shape. The material library includes concrete but you have to use a custom moment of inertia. Granted that's a super easy calc but it would be nice to stay in the app and just tap a length and width. Love

Kinda klunky interface. The calculator layout is poor. Calculator needs means of entering scientific notation. Missing aluminum extrusions. Should have a way to favorite beam shapes and add user defined ones. I prefer scientific notation normalized to be x.xx x10^x not xxx.x x10^x Not sure why 10x length limitation.

Would be great if there’s an option for different EI at different span.

If you are mechanical, civil engineer or chemical engineer or some, you should get this app. This is really accurate and compact to use at site and office. I really appreciate for this app to the developer. You are my HERO.

I like it but it would be nice if it had the ability to see the data in a table. Also, could you add an option to switch the positive/negative convention of up and down? Thanks, and keep up the good work :)

Perfect for when you want to check your work for accuracy...or just when you want to cut corners.

Just downloaded this and started playing around with it. Quite amazing how the graphics work. Nice that you can specify a structural steel beam shape.

By far, hands down, the best structural design app I've ever used. Some serious time was put into this app and it shows. Great job developer

I just wanted to let you guys know that there is a flaw in the calculation of the theta value! It is 10 Times smaller than the actual value. There must be a bug for that output.

Great job on this beautifully designed app! I just wish it had smaller shapes built in, down to 1/2 square steel tube. Or, maybe provide a way for user defined shapes to be added? Thanks!

Love the app, great visual interface...but why not 50 and 65 KSI steel? Today almost all structural steel is grade 50 KSI....this application is now limited to 36 KSI steel design. To make application useful it needs that upgrade.
