27 Positive User Reviews for Discographic for Discogs

Love this App

I have been using this app for years to track our growing record collection. It is amazing. The only thing I wish would be possible is to share the collection fully with someone else. My wife can log in with the same account, but she doesn't see all the Tags that I have meticulously added to all our records so it feels like she is missing out on all the organization we've honed over the years. It would be so amazing if Tags could be shared across devices.

So much better

Just moved over to iPhone and discovered this. Thank you! I was worried I was going to have to struggle by with the terrible iOS DiscOgs app!

Fantastic!! Great way to display!

When I had Apple Music, it was so easy to play a track from my collection (not every track but a lot.) nicely done app that’s easy to add to the collection.

Great potential!

This has the potential to replace the Discogs app for me, but it’s lacking a very important feature. It doesn’t offer quick access to the recent sales history. The history tab only shows the low, median, and high price, not the actual recent history. You can get there, but it takes several clicks and steps to get to it.

If you collect vinyl, this app is a MUST

I’ve been using this app for almost 10 years and I don’t know where I would be without it. The interface is much more graphically appealing and easier to use than the Discogs app imo. Well worth the $6 or so to unlock the ‘premier’ version. You will not regret it!

Needs some work

Overall it is a nice app, but definitely needs more attention from the developers. I bought a PRO version, which worked for a while, but when paid functionality stop working… I had to request a refund from Apple Store

Completely Brilliant!

Such a nice piece of software. UX is top, intuitive, very stable, really highest recommendation in my book. If you’re using discogs to catalog your collection you need this app.

Essential app for managing your music collection

One of the most useful apps on my device, it is arguably *more* useful than the app that it was designed to compliment. Presents your discogs data in a logical and useful style (one click tells you how much of your collection is on vinyl ❤️) with a dazzling interface and great looking layout. Link with your last.fm account to scrobble your vinyl plays with a single click. I almost fainted. Well worth the pro version. Get it.

FINALLY!!

After slogging through the Discogs app for what feels like ages this is a breath of fresh air. All the stuff you want from Discogs and more! Data, charts, facts, snapshots, Full Screen in iPad! My prayers have been answered, well worth the full price! Keep on spinning!

A great compliment to Discogs

I use this app to catalog my collection. It’s so easy to use, has a barcode scanner, wantlist, and will pick a random album from your collection to play if you shake your phone! Love it!

Great app

One of my favorites!

The Flagship of Music Cataloging

Been using this for a while and have not even considered looking for a better one. Because there isn't. My collection is safe, and provides me with the knowledge to understand the musical quality/quantity of the media that's preserved. Working getting the full collection in; will take some time, but enjoying the education and adventure.

Awesome, but...

This is the definitive Discogs app and I love the recent series of updates. However - my biggest ongoing frustration are with the sorting features. The implementation / interface is great, but it just doesn’t work consistently. I’ll change the sort for a title and it will continue to be in the same (incorrect) spot. This is a maddening bug that never seems to get corrected. Outside of that, this App is A+ Update 2023: the two recent updates wiped out all my soarting data, so I have to start all

Best Music App ever- love it!

Support is awesome and extremely quick with response/fix - Thanks!

Bricked App

I can’t understand why you removed the all category on your app. If I put a band in multiple genres I can no longer see all the albums I own by one band at one time. I have to scroll through multiple genres. This essentially bricks your app for me as a tool to purchase records while I am at the store. Edited: I found the All button it is now under the new Pro settings which I did not see had been added. I don’t mind paying for pro. Yo7r app is invaluable to me. I have changed my rating.

5 stars

for me this is the best app for vinyl collecting. it has the tag feature which i have used a lot. i like to have micro categories and tags allows this. you can switch between users which is good for me too. you can change the colors as well. i will also say this app is definitely kept up to date with issues, bugs, etc. excellent.

Perfect after the update

Works great for updating my collection. So much easier with this app than with Discogs. I also really like that, unlike other apps that require a subscription, you just pay once for the full version. Kudos to the developer for immediately addressing the startup issue and for excellent communication. I highly recommend Discographic to anyone with a large music collection.

Simple system to catalogue your vinyl

Easy to use system for keeping an organized catalogue of your vinyl. Barcode scanner works with new pressings but not my old collection from 70s-80s. You'll have to manually enter the catalog number off the liner or album. I paid for premium version but that doesn't enable you to share your catalog with other app users. I believe sharing catalogs requires pro.

Excellent App

Far superior to the native Discogs app in every way—they should buy this one. Looks better, works better, more fun to browse.

Such a nice app

I have no complaints at all. This app is more reliable than the official app, has more features, and doesn’t track you.

Essential

This is an essential accessory for managing any music collection!

Awesome app for my music collection

This is an awesome app I am using for organizing my music collection. I am a huge vinyl collector and this app and its direct integration of discogs is outstanding. Thanks so much for this development! 👍👍👍

Great!

This is the one I have been looking for. Easy to use and does just what I need. I would recommend this to all collectors.

Best music collector app available

This is a fantastic app. I’ve tried many music cataloging apps with little success. The only other app that was even remotely worthwhile was the official Discogs app (for the best music database for collectors). Yet the app was also wonky at best and would often freeze or crash while using it. The official Discogs app was inconsistent and often frustrating. The solution? This wonderfully designed app. It has perfect Discogs integration and even better features. It makes music collecting even mo

The best app I’ve found for managing my collection

I’m on the trial right now but so far it is a breeze to use and much more user friendly than the Discogs app. I’m most likely buying it when the trial is up. One thing I wish we could do in this app is if a user is inside a specific folder, then I could be able to randomize a record within that folder. Another great feature would be to have a way to add records within my collection to multiple folders/genres/categories. Right now it works the same way Discogs does which has always been limitin

Getting better

The app is improving. I love the UI, and responsiveness of the developer. Crashes often enough to be annoying. Search needs some work. Otherwise, it’s a good app.

Wanna love it but can’t

Such a great and helpful app… when it works. There’s always bugs, it always crashes, sometimes it’s barely functional. Really wish there were more frequent updates to prevent these kinds of things from happening
