This is my go to for encryption on my Mac devices. It works well, and the developer is very responsive to feedback. It is small (Not at all bloated), and does not collect information. A win all around. I thank the developer for their work on this and making this versitile encyption app!
There only seems to be two VeraCrypt compatible apps on the iOS App Store, and this seemed to be the more trustworthy of the two. This has no issues mounting and exploring my VeraCrypt volumes. There's also very flexible authentication methods (for example, saved password requiring BOTH your biometric authentication and your iOS passcode). Because of Microsoft licensing there is an extra purchase to access exFAT so I ended up switching one of my volumes to NTFS and have no issues with it. I wo
At the time of writing this, there is no other commercially available solution that does what this app does. That being said, I have to take away one star in hopes that we will eventually get more support for additional video and image formats.
I can not create any volume anymore, the button of create is gray. 5/7/2024 When can we add file into remote disk as promised # it is crashing everytime when I try to mount remote disk. 12/24/2021
this best app 🌺
I always thought it was a major flaw that Apple didn’t provide support for .dmg and .sparseimage files on iCloud volumes. I recently read an article that mentioned that a $0.99 app does just what I was looking for — and here it is. This app is remarkably capable. Very happy I found it.
Picked this up specifically so I has a way to access on iOS the encrypted sparse bundle virtual disks I created on my Mac. Was able to access these types of virtual drives from a USB drive, as well as from iCloud Drive. Integrates with the Files app in the "Sources" column. Did exactly what I wanted and the pricing is very fair.
Thanks, works well!! Can you add Koofr or icedrive?
Super useful. :)
Disk Decipher just been updated with a built in documents scanner. Now I can scan all my receipts and such and put it directly into my vault. I used to have to scan my receipts via the notes app and move them to files and then import them to my vault. Now I can do all that within disk decipher. The developer has been doing a lot of great work on the app. Keep up the good work.
I have been using Veracrypt for a long time. I use it to backup my photos and important documents. The only problem with Veracrypt is they don’t have a mobile app. That is where Disk Decipher comes in. I have looked on the App Store for Veracrypt apps (Only 2 show up, the other one I will not use…). At first Disk Decipher was simple, but it worked. Over the past year the developer has been making many improvements on the app. I have been using the app ever since.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do, without problems. Interface is good. The developer answered questions promptly and put a requested feature on his roadmap. All in all, a great experience on both iPhone and iPad. If you do anything much with VeraCrypt or the like, this is essential to making your iPad fully functional.
It opens my Verycrypt volume with no issue. Plus no data is collected by the dev. Overall perfectly happy with what I got for a dollar
Overall it suits my purpose. But I hope that this developer makes this app recognize dmg image file lager than 100 gb. It reads and mount about 7-80 gb dmg but can’t do that for any bigger file. I think that the developer willingly limit its readable file size for some reasons. Please fix it.

When can we add file into remote disk as promised
Fits my needs completely and allows me to securely store data in the cloud. Constantly updated with more useful features being added weekly. Highly recommended. One of the more important apps on my iPhone. Thank you for providing this app …
It’s the only app that can properly read my VeraCrypt volumes, and it even supports stuff like hidden volumes and encrypted disks. It’s also pretty fast, and supports cloud storage.
This app works well to open TrueCrypt volumes. It is not always intuitive, and the Dropbox support is still very immature. Definitely a great value.
I have been looking for some time for some app that could decode TrueCrypt volumes. This has worked beautifully. I invoke it from DropBox. Now I can access all my encrypted data from my iPad and life is a little better.
Richard, is it possibly for you to add capability with google drive? Thanks
Really good to have truecrypt image on iphone !
But lacks ntfs support. Had to make all files fat. But great app. Also; I'd like to be able to get files from the app ifile so a third measure can be taken. Thanks devs for this great app!
This is a great app! I use it linked to my Dropbox and it works perfectly. I just select "open in" in my Dropbox and that's it! I hope that they add Rar support (within an encrypted image) in the future.
I like this more than boxcryptor 2.0 version. Use remote address for dropbox connection. dropbox://your_numeric_id/your_tc_file_location
As soon as the thumbnails are added I am donating $50 I have to have this feature!
Excellent app. The ability to open a truecrypt database from Dropbox is awesome. Please keep developing this app.
I can decrypt my blobs easily. I love t. The app is updated for iOS 8 and iPhone 6/6plus. I recommend you update your screenshots to not deter any sales.
This app works perfectly to decrypt my Veracrypt container on Dropbox.
Hasn't been updated in over a year, and more than that file extensions shouldn't matter. I should be able to name my file .baz or .inga or whatever.
The app works well with trucrypt encrypted files.
I’m able to access crypts over 100GB in size quickly and easily. For those saying it has problems opening some files, it’s likely the file name causing the issue. For instance it really doesn’t like [square brackets] in file names.
I use it all the time and the new streaming feature is amazing. It shows the level of commitment this developer has to producing an outstanding product. Highly recommend!!
I don’t know why but the app crushes every time I try to enter it. I’m using iPhone XsMax with ios 12.1.2.
I want to share my veracrypt files(without extension) to Disk Decipher,but I can't .
It works just fine but I would like to see the ability to use a key file in addition to the password.
Trying to install but it says it requires macOS 11, which isn't out yet.
Encrypt all the things. Fight back against corporate and government surveillance.
3 Negative User Reviews for Disk Decipher
I've set a passcode lock on my installation of DD (M1 Macbook Air) and any time I go to remove the passcode lock in the preferences, the app greys out and creates a popup requiring my passcode BEHIND the settings themselves; effectively it's impossible for me to actually manage the passcode settings.
Can still decrypt containers under IOS 11, but often cannot open files inside.
The developer seems to be MIA. His page has a poll to see what he should do next, but none of it seems to be happening...
