Great app-easy to use and very effective. My only suggestion is that they add mnemonics/cue cards for the modified hiragana as well. There is a reference table for them, but there are no suggestions regarding how to pronounce them or mnemonics to help commit them to memory. Otherwise well worth the money.
Learning hiragana made easy. I learned the entire alphabet in a matter of days! Thank you Dr. Moku!
This app allows kids to learn Japanese in a easy way I like to use this app to help me recognize the symbols 😜
So, for the basics, it’s pretty good. You can get the basic characters in about an hour. But it completely ignores the modified forms. So essentially you are missing almost half of what you need to learn. There have been no updates as far as I can tell for them either, and I have had this for over a year. Moved on to Drops, which actually acknowledges these missing characters exist.
If you try to learn Hiragana but forget few mins later? This would be very helpful. It only take less than an hour to learn and read Hiragana.
The mnemonics works for me and helps me remember the different characters ina flash. My only suggestion is that on the quiz, I hope they add the feature of reviewing the missed characters at the end of the quiz. Otherwise, the app is very helpful for beginner learners of the Japanese language. Thank you.
Helped me learn Hiragana and master it quickly. Add Dakuten into the lesson though. That is my recommendation.
I’m in a fast pass Japanese class and had to learn everything in 2 weeks. Sounds insane because it is. This app is amazing with helping ways to remember it. I’m not sure why this isn’t more known for Japanese students. Worth every penny.
This app has pronunciation glitches. When doing quizzes, the pronunciations sometimes are totally off and don’t match the words. Other than that, I like the visual memorizations.
What a great learning system. I learned Hiragana in 15 hours. I ended up downloading a free quiz app and bounced back and forth between the two apps.
When you’re listening to music and try to do quizzes it stops your music even if you mute sounds in the app. The features to practice writing could be better. Some of the flash cards don’t have the full strokes of the characters so it makes it a little hard to use that for writing practice.
At the beginning it wasn’t working but then the next day the apps started to work. And it’s very helpful so far it’s good
I have a very visual-based memory, and this style of learning just clicked. I’ve tried using other language learning apps and sites in the past but always had problems memorizing the characters. I’ll continue to take the quizzes until I don’t have to think when I see the characters. Thank you for such a simple yet effective tool.
The hiragana part of the app is not working I cannot open it
