Why was the transformation from ps2 version not ported

Would love controller support

Needs to be converted to be able to use a backbone

I love this game and playing on my iPad is nice but I want controller support. It would make playing a lot more enjoyable.

It’s a testament to how good this game is and how hard-working the team maintaining it is that this gets updates still. Thank you! Support for external audio will make this a perfect port of this game and keep it alive for new players!

I would give 5 stars if you could use a controller.

The gameplay is exactly how I expected, but the not being able to rotate the screen drives me absolutely crazy!

Plays ok controls are buggy and there is no choice for remote play, adding remote play would make it easier to play

Best DQ on not the best platform, but still playable and convenient. Might be the weakest way to experience the game, but still gold overall.

It holds its charm even without the voice acting. It doesn’t include the extra dungeons and new characters that the remake has. Most don’t like the portrait mode aspect, but I think it’s fine. I can choose to play with one hand and that personally is awesome. My only thing is that there are bugs here and there, which is why I recommend picking this up when it’s discounted or it’s your first time playing DQ8. My favorite Dragon Quest. Well worth the money, and a wonderfully executed port.
