I hate tuning drums and this app has taken a large portion of my frustration out of the process. It is easy to use and surprisingly accurate in identifying frequencies that cause drums to not sound good. It also helps with getting the resonance tuning accurate too. Best $10 spent on a musical tuning tool.

Not sure I’ve ever left a review for an app before. I was hesitant about a $10 app for tuning based on your phone but the only alternative was a $70-100 dial or tuner. I figured I’d give it a shot and glad I did. I’m not a full time drummer but have drums to record and don’t know much about tuning and the dynamics. I wish I’d bought this sooner. It turned my decent CB drums into something more than I ever thought they could be. My recordings sound so much better it’s ridiculous.

There’s an in depth course on the website you should definitely read even if you think you shouldn’t. I didn’t and ended up replacing resonant heads because of it. Devs know what they’re talking about and there’s a ton of options that won’t make sense until you READ THE MANUAL. READ. THE. MANUAL.

Just the research and information they’ve put into a nice, organized place with videos and diagrams is worth the $10, which by the way, is the price of a fancy coffee or craft beer. Take the time to study this information and the app will be an incredible tool for all your tuning needs especially for lazy drummers like me. Takes the guessing work out of matching pitches. Thanks to the developer for the years of R&D put into this app!

This is a great app for tuning my drums. After several years it just stopped working. I considered getting the extra features they offer but am now afraid that nothing will work?? I have requested assistance. Back to TunBot for now.

Not a bad app but the lug tuning picks up the sound of the previous lug note and adds it to the next one.

All other youTube videos and even so-called "tutorials" on drum sites (I don't actually have a "human" instructor) show how to tighten lugs evenly but then oversimplify the rest, and act like using a tuner is the most "uncool" thing a drummer could ever do. Does the job, took a little getting use to it but it definitely works, drums sound much better

This app is great; not only for helping tune my drums, but also for teaching (me at least) how and why particular sounds are created. I never had a good understanding of the relationship between batter head and resonant head; this app teaches how to tune both and make your drums sound great. Highly recommend.

The manual is a book. Little long winded

The app works very well and is accompanied by clear documentation. The developer uses science and obviously is a subject matter expert. This is worth the cost for any drummer to get better sounds from their kit

I’ve been drumming for a little over a year. I bought a Mapex Armory drum set and my journey began. My focus was on the physical aspect and tuning was foreign and daunting. Got the App,educated myself and took the plunge. It took some time to fully understand what was going on but once I got the hang of it it was brilliant!! This kit sounds amazing and every drum is tuned to the exact note! I even check and adjust before each session. From an absolute newbie I say thank you 😊

Fantastic how accurate this app is in getting clean tones, I would recommend it to any drummer that struggles with tuning. Now, the app will get you about 80% of the way there, it helps to use each of the app’s tools in the right sequence to slowly arrive at a particular note. But this takes away so much of the guesswork, easily worth buying.

I make my living as a drum tech, and this app has upped my game. It makes tuning fast, easy and consistent, and the author’s tutorials are extremely helpful. The best thing about it is that anyone could use it to tune drums with relatively little time spent learning how. I just wrote a review for this app, but I wanted to add a little to my review. This developer has also created metronome apps that I purchased in the bundle. I strongly encourage customers of this app (or not) to consider those apps as well. They are very good apps and are both thorough and straight forward. Check them out!!!

Nice app and have used it for a few years. After the latest update I noticed the microphone stays on after closing this app and crashes another tuning app I have on my phone. When I shut this one down and open the other app that also uses the mic I have to go into settings and manually turn the access off in the Privacy settings. Other than that its a great app for tuning. The individual lug tuning is a little sensitive an can wind up chasing your tail but if you get it within a couple of hz yo

So easy to use! Both narrative and video instructions for each step. Once I dialed in the resonant heads properly, I couldn’t believe the difference. Best App I’ve ever bought, and creator answers emails!

Note that I’ve been playing for 10+ years. So I’m using this app to tune my snare, but the Hz is all over the place. This app cannot decide if it’s 119Hz or 174Hz which is a crazy gap. Also, it won’t let me tune one lug to the desired Hz I want, it just marks the first one as that and then just says +X or -X instead of letting you tune that initial lug correctly in the first place. It’s also very annoying how you only get one hit per lug, so if it’s still off you have to the menu for a clean sl
