10 Positive User Reviews for Ear Cat

True life saver

I’m not exactly exaggerating when I say games produced by this developer changed my life. As an adult who did not learn any music younger and who truly regret it, I learnt almost everything I need for reading music notes using the cat series, when I was 19 and tried to self-educate, and those games were something truly stuck with me after a lot of frustration using other method. Now brilliancy strike again, this listening game is all I want for a sharp ear practice, plus the design is elegant, h

Fun while you learn!

This is a great way to learn intervallic relationships between notes! Easily relates to solfege or numbering systems, and - as usual - I love the background sounds. Really helpful to have tonic “humming” underneath it all! Only problem I have found is that many of my students are not familiar with the song at the end of Level 1.

Excellent app for interval training!

I’m a music teacher of private and group lessons in several instruments, and direct adult and children’s voice, chime, and bell choirs, and highly recommend this app! I wish I had discovered it sooner. I teach Solfege in everything I do, and this is a great way to help train the ear to recognize intervals. I love the cat theme, but even more love the accuracy of the pitches and the increasing difficulty as the levels climb, which presents a fun challenge, even for those of us skilled in recogniz

Good for interval training

Works well for interval identification, but I found the exercises where you have to play back a song extremely difficult because only one octave (7 notes, actually) shows on the screen at a time and switching them up and down is very counterintuitive for a keyboard player. There should be some way to show more notes on the screen at a time.

Awesome and cute app

Love this app. Great for training your ears to recognize changes in notes!

Wonderfully fun and challenging!

This game is very entertaining as well as engaging your ears, brain, and coordination. So many wonderful simple melodies that are used, familiar, yet to pick them out right is so much fun. Thank you!

Help me with my Piano work and getting the stuff out of brain

Soooo cool! Hard but it is fun and awesome!!!! You should make a...... 2 PART!!!

Newfie!

This is fun and relaxing.

Some suggestions

My private lesson teacher recommended this app, so I got it right away. I had my phone on silent and do not disturb and it wasn’t using the sound. I had to turn it off for it to work and I’d like it better if you could use it on silent and do not disturb. Other than that it is amazing♡

Great and fun app

It’s an amazing app that combine marvelously education and fun. The game is addictive, and not only one improves greatly at hearing intervals but also at integrating single pitch, emulating someone with perfect pitch. So while having fun, one is working on one of the most fundamental and important aspect of music learning. I highly recommend this app for both young kids and adults!
