Amazing app

I really like this app. I recently bought the premium access for $0.99 and I have all the features! I like the fullscreen feature. I like the sky view of the eclipse. I can appear to look at eclipses from 2017-2024. I’m super excited about the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024! I hope I have clear skies that day! I like this app so much and I’ll definitely look at a lot of eclipses in the future! P.S. I’d really rate 10, but that’s not an option, so I’m basically rating 5!

Super

It would be GREAT if a custom location could be saved. Otherwise, this is fabulous, and no charge!

Eclipse Guide

This app is fantastic. To be able to see the degree of totality and watch the progress over time is simply incredible.

Love it

I’ve looked at many eclipse apps. This is my favorite. Reads current gps position if you are mobile. Excellent, simple simulation of eclipse. Not overly complicated like some. Fairly intuitive to use.

Easy to use! Love it!

Best eclipse guide I’ve found! Thank you!

Useful and joyful app

Like this app very much, very useful, but very poor in future years need to fix this soon. Thanks Bacil

Charges extra $0.99 for iPad audio!

I just bought the app for $0.99 in preparation for 4/8/24. Added the audio guide for an additional $0.99 on my iPhone. But when I wanted to add that option on my iPad they want to charge another $0.99! Nickel and dining- not cool

Spam notifications

I purchased this app only to be notified of upcoming eclipses. I am receiving notifications such as “Retrograde motion demystified” and “Why do we have seasons”. These educational notifications would be fine if I could turn them off but it looks like it isn’t possible. I’d have to disable all notifications for the app via the iOS settings app but that would defeat the purpose of the app, which is just to be notified of eclipses!

Nice!

Clean and straight forward

Very limited time frame

App works very well and is easy to use. It’s a shame the purchased expanded time frame is only through 2024. Suitable for entry level only.

Get what you pay for

For 99c not much. Should’ve bundled the extra $0.99 with the original since it’s not that useful without it.

Nice App needs adjustment

On iPad the bottom is blocked by the menu. Nice App

Eclipse Guide

Great app for latest solar & lunar eclipses.

Fantastic App!

Love this app since it is so versatile and shows you exactly what you can see and when from anywhere in the world!

Needs more eclipses

Layout is nice and easy to use but they need to add more future eclipses. The 2024 North American eclipse is going to be a big one for many people and needs to be added. I would say only flaw.

1 Negative User Reviews for Eclipse Guide:September 2025

The $0.99 cents charge is a scam.

Y’all could have just charged $0.99 for the app instead of the useless, larger, non-HD, wrongly proportioned map. There is a huge room for improvement. • Map quality can be vastly improved. • Quality of the Map Simulation can also be improved. • Ability to scrub forward or backward on the simulation timeline. And much more. 10/18 I wasn’t referring to a “google map style” layered map but just a higher resolution map with the right proportions of the continents. Greenland is currently displayed
