Elastic Drums App Reviews

I enjoyed this a lot when it came out, but it fell to the wayside when I started using Aum and DAWs. I just bought the new plugin from the developer, I’m hoping that since that is auv3, this one may become auv3 too. I’d still say its worth the money without it, its unique and fun.

While there are numerous drum machine apps - this one is spectacular. If sound options ranging from sample to various types of synthesis, to independent beat cycle lengths doesnt grab your attention, surely the ability to perform the playback switching in real-time will! There’s plenty more fun to be had here.

Great app with lots of fun sound design tools but boy is it hard to get audio from this in 2024 without auv3 support. Sure, I could AUM or Audiobus it, but given its sister app has this features and is at the same price point, it would be a welcomed quality of life improvement.

Love it. Want to use it more but prefer the state recall and other features of AUv3 over IAA. Pretty please, make this come true..,

Every time I come back to this app, I am utterly inspired and feel silly for not having used it daily. Like any synth you have to practice the workflow to really get the best out of it, but most everything here is logical/rational/user friendly. And it sounds amazing and the automation is brilliant. Totally relevant in 2024 and, for synthetic drums of all styles, always will be.

I love this drum machine. But no AUv3. So no state saving in host apps. :(

There’s nothing else out there that comes close to Elastic as a total package; one could easily compose entire tunes with nothing else, and I often find myself wishing other apps had just a few of the features it boasts. However… While I know there are workarounds, the lack of AUv3 integration in a world that forgets IAA a little more every year - especially in terms of hosting DAWs - means that it gets used less and less all the time in favor of other apps and combinations thereof. … but no AUv3. So good, but I end up not using this app because there’s no way to save state within AUM. I’m heartbroken. If updating or rewriting this app is not worth the effort, maybe start a spin off that’s AUv3 compatible? I’d get it on the spot.

This is one of the best apps on iOS. You can get beats out of this you’d not get anywhere else. Any negative comments you see here are user error in one form or another! Hooray ED! You can get some great beats right away but you can dig into and find more and more possibilities. Listen through a decent sound system. Big bottom! Looking forward to the iPad version.

love the features, i just with they actually worked. In a 16-step sequence, the 16th step never plays for the full duration. It sounds more like 15 ½ steps. I can’t find any workaround.

Top shelf app, does everything I need and then some. Would love to see in auv3 some day!

This is hands down my favorite drum sequencer Built in effects and easy automation makes for smooth workflow. Also the multi channel out is good for those who need it.I don’t personally ,but I like that it’s there

Using my AirPods, it sounds horrible. This is the same issue reported by others 4 years ago I believe. Hopefully this can be fixed - holding on buying devs other apps - I need to be able to use air pods in a pinch for iOS apps to make sense
