26 Positive User Reviews for Epic Haiku & Limerick

Good when it works

The app is pretty good. When it works. The latest update is not synching DAX visits very well and is crashing on mine, and colleagues, phones

Recent battery drain

The haiku app is decent and I love the integrated DAX but over the last month or two it is sucking the life out of my iPhone 14 Pro. On the weekend runs all day on a single charge, but in the clinic I have to snap on a Mag charger just to make it to lunch.

Nice just oneeee thing

Please please can we edit yellow sticky note from the app. I use that to take notes down on the go. using the finger to draw note option isn’t helpful

Add options?

Haiku has a lot of options to it, but not silent - please add the ability to have “vibrate” as a sound option for notifications.

Practical & Convenient

It quickly allows me to check on the most critical information for my patients. I can do remote monitoring of several anesthesia cases. I can review with my patients important information. I can sign consents electronically. Every iteration keeps adding valuable information.

It’s a Love/Hate Thing

I’m an older surgery attending from the all paper days. I love the immediate access, but hate the intrusion. There is no way in he11 I’m going to let the chart send notifications to my personal phone, but the app keeps showing a reminder to turn notifications on. This is not only annoying, it’s insulting.

Need MarHX

Awesome app but needs med history of meds given and timeline to check med adherence and administration

Edit notes + secure chat on Apple Watch

Seriously need the ability to edit our notes I.e progress notes and H&P’s on the go. Would be very useful when talking to patients on the go. Also need the ability to see secure chat message on Apple Watch. Now u can only see u have a message and who it’s from. Need ability to reply

Truly incredible for clinician workflows

Interface needs a little work and can be a little wonky - but it’s great to be able to pop the app open to see where your patient is, catch up on labs, review previous notes, document telephone encounters, and even write orders. Every hospital has its own implementation of Haiku FYI so if you can’t do some of these things—talk to your local IS admins and get them to turn these features on. Notifications are a mess- there are too many and while you can adjust which ones you want- it’s very cumb

A good tool

The haiku app is overall very good. It is a supplement to the epic on computers, but not designed to replace it … if you want comprehensive charting, then go to your computer/laptop.

Works well for me

Mixed reviews for others but seems to work well for me. One fix I would like is how patients are displayed. When sorted numerically any room with a 4 shows up first in the list and then any room with a 5 shows up. E.g. room 42, 48, 408, 410, 52, 57, 510. Not sure why it doesn’t show up as 42, 48, 52, 57, 408, 410, 510 etc. This is very annoying since you have to scroll all around the list to find patients that numerically should be adjacent to each other. Changing the sort order doesn’t fi

ER works great

Works great for my ER patients. I wish I could easily see active orders or order history for when I need to urgently adjust an order, so I wish the “orders” feature was more powerful for how busy that menu is, but I’m usually close to a computer anyways. Works great for my chart review and heavy messaging use-case!

Create separate Messenger App or Duplicate App

Overall, app functions mostly the way I want it. However, for providers who are multi-location and must use 2 different Epic systems/instances, it’s difficult navigating between two logins and/or devices. Is it possible to create a standalone messenger/secure chat app? Or even just a duplicate Haiku (different color icon) so that providers can be logged in at two different sites? Would be helpful for hospital workers/consultants. Thanks!

New Update Has Bugs

The newest version prompts users to select a job at every log-in and frequently freezes after I select a job. The previous version used to remember the job selection which is much more reasonable and convenient

Face ID working now

This issue has been resolved Thanks!

Limerick

Limerick is no longer available on my iWatch.

Face ID has stopped working reliably

This is super annoying. I’ve complained to my IT guys and they say it needs to be an EPIC haiku update. Get on it please!

Recent update - secure chat???

My hospital doesn’t use secure chat - really displeased with the recent update that makes secure chat a fixture of the bottom task bar. I just want my inbasket back without having to go to a separate menu!!!

8 Negative User Reviews for Epic Haiku & Limerick

Upload media problem

Since latest update, unable to upload media. Launches camera but blank screen. Tried logout and login no better.

Lacking many useful features

Missing: ·Functional Appt Desk. Unable to check in appts, cannot make appts. ·Cannot create new encounters... You get a phone call on your cell phone but can't turn around and document it on the same cell phone. ·Cannot see the care plan not update goals or interventions. This could be great but really needs major updates.

Photo upload always fails

Photo upload always fails for no reason

Camera update stinks!

This new update makes it impossible to take pictures with flash! Please bring back the old camera!

A bug simulator…

The app is very basic. Log in fails frequently. Needs a lot of work.

New App doesn’t work

I have had a prior version and it’s functionality was marginal when not near a desktop computer. Just downloaded the new app and it doesn’t allow me to login. ☹️

Poor UI

Very limited function. Ordering is difficult, can't make a note, vitals only show you one set, labs don't populate automatically and you need to open a page for each bump so you can't see trends. Overall inferior to power chart

Improved app, poor handling of upgrades

Doesn’t warn users of impending upgrade that will require them to reinstall it. So a busy physician suddenly has loss of functionality at the start of their work day. Poor form.
