Not easy to understand

how do I know the service is on/off? How do I turn it off/off? This is not plain from the instructions. A simple toggle on/off switch h would do. My iphone 15 settings do not show this. This is a data cb plan. Does it just cover messaging or calls too? Again, not clear to me.
