The sound quality obviously isn’t the same as real sp hardware but for a mobile app it’s pretty fun and easy to use

The fact that this is for iPad and iPhone is phenomenal. The improvements made to this app as well as updates to come makes this a competitor.

Definitely has potential, but has issues which prevent me from getting much use of it right now: I still can’t load samples from files, as the app doesn’t properly request permission for access to storage and instead directs me to a settings page that only exists on android. Also I’m not entirely sure why my phone needs to have silent mode turned off if ringer volume and media volume are separate. All other music and media apps work fine in silent mode.

The earlier reviews were fair, but version 2 fixed those issues and the app is now pretty fluid especially when using a computer keyboard along with it. Great sp1200 workflow and sound!

Great SP1200 emulator sounds exactly like a real unit. Update made workflow much easier, keep up the good work. I wish we could have 8 outs into AUM. Peace

It makes my heart happy to know that someone took from his time in order to make this happen. This is a legendary sampler that now (2025) we can enjoy in our iOS devices. Definitely looking forward to make a lot of beats in here specially boom bap and house music! Thanks to the developer for pursuing his passion and love for this vintage sampler machine!!

This is really a labor of love. And gets you closest to having a 1200 without paying thousands of dollars. It’s years in the making and the developer is always working on the next update, slow but steady. If you spend any time with the app you can tell they put a lot of effort in the small details too. I bought the desktop version also to have it, and to support the developer. And what you get for the price is outstanding. This definitely needed a more recent review, always excited to see what

I agree with some other reviews i think they put it out useable but still needs work! I want to be able to assign midi Bluetooth too or learn function for controller assignment. will change my review after a few things are implemented/complete!

After playing with it for 30 min, this is nice. Don’t sleep. The lofi is nice, swing, ect.. I haven’t tried the export yet. If you are a true sp head, you will appreciate the app. It’s worth the $!

I previously left a no so good review BUT…..after I tried it and selected ‘no’ when asked to use microphone, I’m back exited about the app! The sound was always there imho but now I’ll map my Akai LPD8 for the perfect controller. Got my iPad boombaptized ;-) I’ll post some beats to my IG @dragonfly_bry

This app was working but I just updated and now the sample pads aren’t playing.. no sound..

Truly an achievement and a labour of love. I have a real SP1200 and I'd prefer to use this. It's not perfect but real SPs fetch over 5k and are super limited. This can be the future of the SP with so much more potential when it is refined. There is a soul to that machine and the workflow that inspires a sound and an approach and this captures that. People who say it's no good simply do not understand. This is a real production tool.

Apps is cool but needs more support, when can we expect the iOS version to have support for audio input?

Some of the functions don’t seem to be here yet. This app has potential but for the intro price of 13.99 I feel a little robbed to be feeling like a beta tester. Hoping that the development keeps moving forward and keeps getting better

Major latency and when you change skins, everything freezes. Restarting didn’t unfreeze it. Had to uninstall and reinstall to get it working at it’s normal lagging latency. Refund requested.
