FAC Drumkit App Reviews

So much to love about FAC Drumkit! Complex percussion with so much envelope control and really usable drum pads that can be moved around to match your finger drum style. While the sampler is relatively basic, in conjunction with the two oscillators, the samples can add a lot of character to the total drum sound. Ashe’s there is a LOT of really good starting points for sound design! Each of the envelopes has a great selection to start with and modify to taste!

Very useful app

There are other iOS drum machines that can combine samples and oscillators, but FAC Drumkit makes it easy and immediate. Pairs nicely with Logic Pro and other DAWs. If you get only one drum engine for iOS, this should be a contender.

As with every FAC app, the attention to detail is impressive and perfectly executed. The interface is brilliant. File browsing entire folders makes auditioning samples so much easier than having to use the Apple file browser. The tools for manipulating and creating drums are laid out in such a useful way. Fred really has his UI design down in all his apps.

The most powerful drum app that no one knows about! Utter control and sonic power… all easily editable and lightweight (great for basic iPad's) All the drum sounds can be sent to individual output or multiple drums (kicks) can be sent to one output… very flexible! My favorite Drum App!

The user imported samples are very low in volume. It’s a very good drum synth/maker thing, but its not for me. I thought the sample manipulation was gonna be next level, but it isn’t.

If you import samples and they seem too quiet, check that the original wav file is full amplitude. If not, normalize it. I have many hundreds of drum samples and most needed to be normalized. These were purchased commercial collections. FWIW Like all FAC apps this one sounds great and has some cool features. Get it!

Descent app maybe it’s a little over priced for what it can do. Shame that you can only import 1 second samples if it was 2/3 seconds that would of been awesome and much more usable for myself. Again another app that I have purchased that I’m going to delete. I also got to stop watching YouTube reviews on app . I’m going to stop purchasing apps and just give the money to charity instead.

Being able to design and save kits in the standalone app would be a welcome addition. This is not relevant for your effects, but Drumkit lends itself for on-the-go design. Thanks for this amazing product!

It only takes a couple of minutes to get going. The infinite quantity of individual drums/kits you can produce with Drumkit is only bested buy their quality. A+ app!

The description in the envelopes section (punchy, ect) are very helpful for iPhone users when not wearing headphones. Overall a great balance of features. Enough features to make it your own, yet stripped down enough to keep things moving along.

Just get it! Another superb app from the maestro! (2022 update) The new updates are blowing my mind! Reminds me of a DSI Tempest for some reason but blows it out the park imho!

I’d put this up there with my favorite drum design programs like elastic drum (it’s synthesis options), Frum (discontinued fm drums), and many other unique drum design tools. I was hesitant about spending the money but it is worth it

This is the drum synth we have been waiting for.

10 minutes in and I’m already making my own kit with synthesized sounds and my own samples. I can see this becoming a very useful addition to my sound design workflow.

Maybe it’s user error but this will not work in BM3 or other DAW’s. The sounds in this app are amazing and I would love to be able to use this app to craft drum sounds for my music. When ever I try to record in any DAW (BM3, Cubasis, GarageBand), I get no sound. If I’m able to get sound, the DAW does not recognize what I’m playing and will not record the drum track. Again, maybe user error but it should not be this difficult to record using this app. This is coming from someone that records musi

Unlike Sugar Bytes Drum Computer, this drum app does not have a sequencer. That’s unfortunate because I bought it before knowing that and there’s no returns. Other than that, I really like it’s extensive sound sculpting features. I’ll change my review if Frederic Corvest designs a companion sequencer app to compliment this drum machine.
