Get notifications on home page, when open to read details; nothing there???

I get notifications from FEMA but when I go to open app it says “No alerts”.

Best taxpayer money return I receive. I live in the Midwest and this app has been helpful in monitoring the weather for my elderly mother and adult children. I love that I can send them official alerts from the National Weather Service via text. It gives them critical information while decreasing the “Nagging Mom” aspect of the communication. Same issue as a previous poster. FEMA APP has worked well for me for year in Alaska. Feels like the last 3-6 months I get notifications - then open the app and nothing there. Weather.gov def has concerns for my area of Alaska. Get the app working for Alaska again 5 stars - getting notifications with no details on the app 1 star thus the 3

The FEMA App is easy to use and provides timely emergency alerts in one place. The notifications and tips are helpful during any situations. Improving alert customization and offline access would make the app even more effective.

Everyone should get this app. [2026-01-23] For people who aren’t seeing alerts, try updating your zip code. One issue: I look out for multiple people in different places and have reasonable need for more locations than the app allows. I don’t know who thought it would be a good idea to make this so limited, but please up the limit to at least a dozen.

As a former emergency manager, this app is a great resource for keeping aware of impending hazardous weather conditions, and how to prepare for other hazards such as earthquakes, flooding, tornadoes, and hurricanes. Highly recommend!

The app is helpful to prepare for possible weather problems, especially when traveling. The problem comes in when you get the same alert several times in a row. Example freeze warning will come in at 3pm then again at 3:10, 3:30, 3:45,4:10. It’s quite annoying especially when there is no new information. Also it would be nice to have a dark theme. When alerts come in in the middle of the night and you go to check, the extremely bright white background can be blinding and painful to the eyes.

I like the app but the notifications are annoying because I’ll get them repeatedly every few minutes. It’s like they want a response or something. Then when I click on the notification it takes me to the app that tells there are no alerts. Say whaaat?

Just about every day I wake up to the app having a notification badge. Nothing is wrong anywhere near me, ease up on the excessive notifications. It kind of reminds me of my schnauzer. No, fema, that’s just the neighbors in their own yard. Ease up. I ended up removing it because I don’t need a new todo every day.

I customized what alerts I get for Tucson,AZ and surrounding area, however I am unable to click the back button to go back to the Home Screen. I have to force close the app and bring it back up. It did save my preferences but will not go back when pressing the back arrow.

Got a notice about fire weather warnings but when I opened the app to get the details there is no information. This has been happening for several weeks with snow and wind warnings. Still has other good resources and advice in the app for preparation but no longer much of an emergency notification app.

If there are alerts in your area, this app will send you a notification as often as every 60 seconds. It’s incredibly annoying. I end up, deleting it to save my sanity.

I’ve been under a winter storm warning since 9:20 this morning, but the app still insists on showing me LAST NIGHT’s update. It keeps sending me updates for the other area I’m watching (the city where I work), and those seem fine, but every time it updates the one for my town, it just keeps sending ones from yesterday (a winter storm watch updated at 3:20 pm yesterday), and then it finally updated this morning with a winter storm watch message from 11-something last night. This app needs to be updated. I have added alert notifications for several areas. The problem is I get several notifications for the same alerts and it is nothing new because you can look at the times. In addition, you can't delete any old or outdated alert. This app does have potential but needs to be fixed.

I appreciate the alerts, really I do. The first time or if they change maybe 12 hours later. But I’m getting alerts like every 15 minutes that appear to be the same winter storm warning alert over and over again. If there actually was an important alert, I wouldn’t know it because I tuned out long ago.

I don't get any single notification from this app, even though they are all toggled on. It's basically the only reason I have this app, so it's essentially useless.
