Great email support. Always easy to ask or request features. Essential app in our household
Love this file manager… But PLEASE add support to show video and audio thumbnails from MP4/M4V/MP3 etc album/video poster. I rip movies and each file has a poster art. This does not show up here.
Before Files FB was essential. After Files it's even more essential. And, great support
The Sync between two iPads never works. I created the Sync, showing ran successfully, but not seeing the changes. Wish I can crop pictures like Photo app instead of copy and paste back and forth just for basic editing.
Works well, supports many different type files. About the only way it could be better is if it had a add on video plugin kit that would allow it to open specific video files without having to use other vendors app that sometimes crash. It would be a worthwhile addition I would as sure as many others would be willing to pay for. Anyway thanks for such a fantastic app probably the best one I bought for my iPad Pro.
Very powerful, I’d like to see the ability to turn off filenames of images to be able to scroll through them just like the Photos app on iOS.
I should have written this review before now, because this app has been very beneficial connecting to my desktop Macs in the last 2 years. Exchanging files back and forth with ease was the initial reason for purchasing it. Organizing files and connectivity is a breeze. This app is always updating with new features and fixes. I’ve been a Mac user for 3 plus decades and very much appreciate a company that is willing to support older OS X, MacOS or in this case FileBrowser for supporting older IOS
This has been the most generally useful app for years. Now, with the ability to hide the menus in gallery view, FileBrowser is the gold standard for browsing graphics, too. 10/10
I have tried a lot of so called file browsers and this by far is the best. While we have “Files” on iOS File Browser Professional is far better. I can connect to devices such as my NAS that Files won’t. I have been using File Browser Professional for a few years now and it is worth every penny! Plus the developers are constantly making upgrades to even make the app better.
You can connect to networked servers. I am using SMB3 to a Ubuntu samba server and Synology NAS. It can find and display file specifications. You can use internal display apps for iOS file types, or link to external apps for unsupported files. It remembers your position in the directory structure, even after you close the file browser. I will try the backup feature at some point. If that works, I may raise the rating to 5.
Feature request: ID3 tag editor.
I never leave reviews. I’m never that impressed. This app is different. It’s like a magical candy shop for file junkies. From my new (and yes, my first) iPad I can juggle data between my Windows shares, my DigitalOcean S3 bucket, my Linux laptop external drive, and my Mega folders. This is solid fun. And get this: no insane monthly subscriptions. Plays audio from folders (yay). Plays videos from S3 (a breeze). This app rocks for me. Your gigs may vary.
This is an amazing app that does much more than expected. Everything is super convenient to do. You can easily create shortcuts on homepage (even to remote drives), quick navigation, fast storage space layout by type, multiple tabs, easy drag and drop, etc. >> Most of all, I love that the app does NOT beacon to third parties. No telemetry traffic. The only connections are to the things you configure. It’s very rare to find an app that does what’s on the ‘tin’
This app is exactly what we needed. We needed an app that we could access files via VPN and edit them in place and save them back to the same directory. It was easy to use and pefect for what we needed. I highly recommend this for iPad users working remotely or on the field.
Creating a Backup Task for the whole ‘My Private Files’ folder is a pain. Please have that feature as well.
You mean I don’t have to backup everyone’s devices in the family????? I can just click and sync to a folder on my NAS???? I can cancel google photos at $10 a month and safe $120 a year???? I’m IN!!!!!!! Very well done app.
I wanted something that could join iOS / S3 / Local / Cloud etc.... This is it.....this thing is the best thing since sliced bread and Pyramids. Im very impressed so far!
After the UI redesign, this app was a hot mess. Using it now, you’ve taken to heart virtually all of the feedback posted as this app is once again the best intuitive app out there. Thank you!
Check out this developer’s apps, as they are all top of their class. I have several, and can heartily recommend them all! They make it easy to connect your various external and network drives with ease.
Functionality is solid and the app is easy to use.
It works as advertised but broken in ver. 11.1. The “Open in...” menu is now missing. Please put it back.
I don’t rate apps often, but I needed to on this one. Simply the best files browser on any platform! Outstanding! Fast and easy! Fine job!
Been using this for remote file access from NAT, SSH,FTP, etc. And, it has been working flawlessly.
This is a great file browser enabling cloud service browsing as well as browsing of local NAS devices, and many other choices. Offers tabbed browsing, which allows for functional dual pane browsing.
This works. I can connect to my Windows shares without sending my data to the cloud.
This is a great app. I had some issues with it, but those stemmed from not understanding some of the functionality. They could do a better job explaining some features like the USB iOS13 update. That said, I am updating my review as promised!
No nagware for reviews, works as it should and is always improving. This is a great developer!!! Thanks
Just buy it- thank yourself later. Amazing piece of software.
Without a doubt, one of my favorite and most used apps! I have 5 NAS servers at home, and I use FB daily on my iPad Pro to work on files across all the servers. And they just keep adding great features, like tabs. Amazing! Thanks!
for transferring JPEG photos from SD card, while leaving raw photos on the card.
This is a very robust app with a ton of features. My one issue is that it does not support the newest iteration of the iXpand drives, the Lightning/USB-C Luxe. Do you have plans to support that drive?
App Works very well. Easy to set up and accurately shows networked computers. Connects to computers without problems. Just a great app
