Sitting at the bar and writing just got so much easier. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the “process” but this app makes it so there’s no excuses to not write. To be honest it can be a little pretentious to sit out in public with a notebook. Love how I can be out having drinks and just look like another dumb a-hole on Instagram. Thanks Final Draft!! JM

Such a frustrating feeling, losing all your work due to random crashes on an iPad Pro. Really should do a bug fix and add split screen mode.

I really love final draft and being able to sync (properly) across my devices (iCloud, not Dropbox) with no issues. This has come in to save the day when working on a script but I can’t pull out my laptop. I use it for my script writing classes and Im so glad technology is updated to where we can have such a powerful tool in the palm of our hand. Note to dev: can we please get a way to add beat boards and create them? This is the only thing I need 🙌🏻🫶🏻

Unable to import from other writing programs inhibits my creative flow. functionality allowing placement of the navigation panel is a desirable feature, along with a more robust script notes/comments enhancement (think Acrobat)

Final draft mobile is great for on-the-go screenplays. It exports to pdfs, and I can seamlessly transition from mobile to PC.

It’s a convenient gadget. I haven’t figured all the extras out but the basics work good. Some instructions would be helpful. But it is very accessible and it transfers well between my Laptop, to and from. Keeps me writing. 😁

The idea I would like to request is the creation of a CHAT function lead by industry experts such as shoe runners, established screen writers, agents, etc.

Action Character Spell check etc

If this app had the beatboard, even if just as a snapshot, it would be so helpful.

I can’t wait for it to achieve parity with the desktop version.Then who is gonna buy the very expensive desktop version? Smile.

When I upload my treatment through iCloud from my desktop, I aim to open it on the FD Mobile app for on-the-go scenarios. Unfortunately the app doesn’t want to open a treatment as it is in text format and is not supported by FD Mobile.

Whenever I try to change a line type it crashes. Pretty disappointing.

I have zero complaints about Final Draft.

Overall this works well. However, it’s difficult to work in more than one draft at the same time in the app. There’s a much greater functionality on the desktop/laptop version.

The app is extremely buggy on the iPhone 13 mini. Not sure if it’s due to the 5.4” screen size or what. It freezes CONSTANTLY and depending on when it freezes, you could lose new data. Good app overall, but almost unusable on iPhone 13 mini.

I’m dark mode, script looks like a white page, cannot see text.

I have had this app for two days and already had 7 crashes. I expect more from the people at final draft. Edit: to the developer response. You’re right, I must be making it up. Are you serious with this response?

This is a great app for scripts on the go, but without the ability to zoom out on a landscape orientation iPad, you might as well be editing your script on a billboard.

The app is a great way to write on the go but you definitely have to get started on your computer.

Magnificent application. Love writing, especially on my phone.

This app is very easy to use and does much of the work for you. All you have to do is write the perfect story. Amazing app to use for scripts!

Love this app but with the Magic Keyboard relegating users to landscape view you really miss out on the real estate afforded in portrait orientation. FD needs to add a feature so you can zoom out to see more than a third of a page at a time.

Excellent app except its tendency to crash, and crash often. Thank goodness for auto save.

The app was working great but now when I try to open/upload scripts from my google drive they don’t open. Can you assist me with this? Thank you!

I very much like this app as a companion to the desktop version. One feature that seems to be missing is the ability to add a line break (soft return) to action lines or dialogue. This is something I do often on the desktop version.

I normally use my laptop to write my scripts but having Final Draft on my ipad now makes it so much easier for me to start my script as soon as an idea hit me, no matter where I am truly loving it!! Garrett Davis Gdavis Productions & Films

Great desktop app. The iPad version needs card view and opening two versions.

I’ve been using this app a long time. It started out great, but has gotten glitchier as time has gone by. Now I am never certain if it will work properly or not.

I sort of enjoyed it but unfortunately I’ve have look up a lot of the script and structure alone which pretty irritating

I purchased with the plan on rewriting and editing in the FD Mobile app. However, I cannot import .txt, .rtf, or .pdf files into the app. I also cannot copy and paste from my notes into the app. Will you add these feature in the future?

I love how I can still write on my iPhone from my iPad and to my iMac. Final draft is indeed industry revolutionary standard.

Love that I can work back and forth between laptop and iPad. With layouts/menus were the same between the two. Understand with apps it takes time. Hoping eventually both will display the same layout.

I’ve been using FD since it’s inception. I love it then love it now and am loving it forevermore!

Really like the app, it helps me keep organized and formatted. The only thing that I miss are the beat sheets. So useful, so totally missed on this app.

This app is awesome for screenplay writing.

The app is intuitive and helps me write a screenplay without distractions. The biggest issue I have had with it is the lack of support for “REDO”. So if you undo a whole scene or god forbid a few scenes, you’d have to rewrite it.

Undo in every other program undoes the last thing you did. This undo button goes back to the LAST AUTO-SAVE. WHY? That makes no sense. The number of paragraphs I’ve had to rewrite is astronomical.

Very cool. Ten bucks aint bad for how much this app delivers. Not perfect, has a couple glitches, but I still dig it.

I use all of the latest iPad technology. I have the latest iPad and I like to use voice narration for screenwriting. Final draft constantly crashes and when it does I’ll have a half a page of unsaved work. Please fix this. thank you.

New update has fixed the bugs. Glad they fixed it. Back to being my favorite mobile writing app.

Loving the flexibility and toggling between desktop version and mobile app. It would be better if the mobile app could allow for cutting and pasting or uploading full work from Word and PDF files.

Why can’t I email it to myself. It says that email isn’t set up

When it works, it’s fine but hasn’t been reliable. The inconsistency of the app disrupt my writing flow esp when attempting to multitask on the iPad Pro. Needs a major upgrade
